I really hate when ntc issues go public. The dude worked that into his contract, you agreed. Don’t pressure him by making the news public, don’t let it leak on either side. Complete horseshit move. You can inquire, if he says no, that’s it. God forbid a dude likes a city and wants stability.

That said, nationalism is doofy anywhere. Got pressured to hold my hand over my heart during the anthem in Mongolia, just didn’t sit right with me.

Our national anthem is called God Defend New Zealand which is so right and so wrong simultaneously. The reference to god is laughable for a country that at the last census in 2018 had 48% of the population declare themselves as not religious ... but also doesn't spend very much on defense at all, so we would need a deity (or friendly partner-nation) to defend us if anyone had a go.

That must be pretty rare, to have three teammates all become GMs, taking three of the only 31 roles available.
