Probably petty on my part, but I don't.Housley was a pretty good assistant coach in Nashville. He was in a shitty situation in Buffalo. I wish him luck.
This weeks lesson in never let an owner convince you they’re losing money
To be fair, MLSE is a lot more than just the Leafs.

I spent 75k renovating my house now its value has gone up 150k, I wonder what I will do with this extra 75k that is now in my bank account, oh wait.
Kruger's methods were outdated and the game had passed him by. Phil just didn't have the skillset to be a head coach to begin with - he was learning on the job and didn't have the right personality to be able to do that well.Probably petty on my part, but I don't.
I think the abysmal nature of Krueger shrouds a bit of how terrible of a coach he was in his time here. I disagree with plenty of decisions by coaches of teams I root for, but usually I can at least see some sort of potential logic from them from the coach's perspective. He consistently made incomprehensible and baffling choices in his time here. Having to watch his inscrutable coaching decisions at the same time as watching Sobotka out there was maddening. Again, it's not far from the absolute nadir of the Krueger years for me in my lifetime of Sabres viewing.
He could have been in a better situation, sure, but it's not like he didn't have some solid pieces in his time here and plenty of first time coaches are put in worse positions.
Never much of a fan on his character as a player either. Loved that we were able to get Hawerchuk for him, who was one of my all time favorites.
who knew empathy and compassion was politicalPeople dont watch hockey for politics, sports is supposed to be a distraction from it, and aside from the Cancer jerseys they all have political connotations.
In this day and age empathy is for likes on social media, achieves nothing but a rise in your own dopamine levels.who knew empathy and compassion was political
Slacktivism is the modern termI don’t have an issue with not wearing specific jerseys. It does nothing for the community they support.
Eg: the NHL can wear girls hockey jerseys. It does next to nothing for girls hockey.
Do something substantive instead. Support girls try hockey for free at local rinks, and bring in pro women’s players. Then donate money for free gear.
That’s real support.
Edit: United Heroes League used to support the Greiss camp for military kids. They made the camp 100% free for military kids, and then brought Fort Bragg 25-30 sets of new gear for kids.
Quoting a general I used to work for: “If you want to hold an appreciation night, how exactly are you appreciating us?”
Warm up jerseys and free tickets for a few select fans is pretty weak.
lol wut? maybe unplug for a bitIn this day and age empathy is for likes on social media, achieves nothing but a rise in your own dopamine levels.
