This year makes me feel bad about those 11-12 and 13-14 teams. The league was so much weaker then. We're arguably better than either of those teams but the competition is so much better. In 13-14 the Hawks were great that's about it. I still don't think either LA King team was anything special. This year the east is stacked and then you have arguably the best team in the league in Colorado.

The thing that might’ve been most special about that Kings team was their coach, watch out for Calgary, he might just do it again, guy knows what it takes

I never wish for any player to get injured, but man that sucks for the Canes. Your starting goaltender, and your hot captain, putting pucks in the net almost every night. Those are huge blows if they're out.
It would be like Shesty and how many captains do we have? going down to injury.

I just watched the replay of Buch's hit on Jost and wow that attempted mugging by Deslauriers was just embarrassing. Absolute clown move to try to jump a defenseless player from behind for a clean hit. I feel like the league has a lot of clean hit retributions this year and it sucks, it should be an automatic game every time. Get this trash out of the game.

Btw, they're already waving the white flag over at the Canes board

Arizona is such an embarrassment. The Flames beat them 9-1 last night. Arizona lost to Vancouver on Thursday night. 7-1. How does The NHL allow this situation to continue? Arizona trades for Little's contract to help them reach the floor. Montreal is looking to move Weber's contract. Arizona spoke to Montreal prior to making the Little trade. Arizona is planning to play in college building for the next 3-4 seasons. The NHLPA is not happy with the situation but they can't do anything about it. The NHL spent the extra money to upgrade the player facilities to make it more compliant to the CBA. The team is such a mess. They have changed ownership so many times. Except for 11-12, Arizona hasn't done much since the franchise moved to Arizona from Winnipeg. The NHL and NHLPA rely on HRR for their cap calculations and Arizona is the money pit.

I still think we want to fly under the radar. Beat Pitt 4-1 and shock Carolina. The ice is far more even especially after the last game and what I saw. And Bob is a sieve. I don’t want to be a target.
Same, I think we would be a much scarier team as an underdog than as a favorite. If we win the Metro, I'd be afraid it gets to the player's heads and they don't come out fast. Even if we are 2nd and have home ice against Pitt, Pitt still might be the favorite amongst the "experts."

Rod at the presser said "it doesn't look good" about Andersen's injury. He's probably more of a straight shooter than Gallant about these things. It's Andersen's left leg. Got clipped by a player during a dump in and his left leg got caught in a rut while moving back into his crease. Stayed in and made a save after that but you could tell his left leg was about to give out and then he got pulled. Helped off by the team's trainer and his left leg wasn't moving. It's almost like what happened to Kakko when his right leg got caught in a rut.

Meanwhile, Staal took a clean hit by Makar. Staal had just dished off the puck and didn't see Makar in order to brace for the hit. Makar led with the shoulder. Staal skated off on his own.
Was he drinking wine with 4 smoking hot blondes after the game? That will determine the severity.

I hear what you are saying but it doesn't really matter. They are still going to finish with 50+ wins and around 110 points. Whether they finish 1st or 2nd isn't going to matter much as to how they play in the playoffs.

Pitt will be the favorite among *almost* every expert and every non-Ranger fan. There will be many experts and writers who pick us to win, but others will cite the obvious: Sullivan, Crosby, Letang, and Malkin trumps ALL.

And yet we beat them the last 3 games rather handily. Fox, Shesterkin, Kreider, Panarin, Zibanejad, Gallant. Plus Trouba, Miller, Copp, Laf, Kakko, Chytil, Goodrow, etc. We are the better team.

Just noticed your saying below your name. Nice

We could be 50 points up on Colorado and the same people who already rank us low would have ranked us even lower. It is what it is.
Toronto > Montreal > NYR, in that order of hate and venom.

How do you figure?
