Morgan Barron just scored his 1st goal with the Jets 1-1 Jets vs Canadiens. Playing on a line with Ehlers and Stasny

Glad to see him score.
I don't think he was ever going to be more than depth here (despit how thin we are at center), but hoping he can find an NHL home somewhere

4 games for Shrek. Seems a little light but reasonable for who is being punished.
hope this seals home ice advantage for us but I also home this doesn't open the door for the Caps. Drawing them round one is gonna beat us up and I'd rather that happened to someone else.

One could argue Malkin was actively hurting the Pens recently so this may be addition by subtraction for them

Huge night on the calendar.

Rangers vs Canes in a battle for first in the Metro. Lets goooo boys!

B’s vs Blues. Bruins are 1pt behind the Lightning for 3rd In the Atlantic. B’s lost 2 of their last 3. Blues have won 5 in a row. They now have a commanding lead on Preds, but are tied with Wild so it’s a battle for 2nd and 3rd in the Central.

Leafs play the Sabres. They have a 4pt lead on the Lightning in the Atlantic. For the Sabres, Owen Power makes his NHL debut. Likely will be on the 2nd pairing with Jokiharju. New era for the Sabres defense. Interesting that the Sabres have outscored the Leafs 14-8 in their last three outings.

Wings play the Sens. Meh!

Oilers at the Wild. Wild again tied with Blues in points with 94 each. Wild have a game in hand. They recently lost 2 out of their last 3. The Oil have a 4pt lead on Kings. They also have a game in hand on them. Oilers have won 4 out of 5 games for the month of April. They turned it on when It mattered in a close race in the West.

Kracken vs the Flames. Flames sitting pretty in atop the Pacific with a 7pt lead over the Oil. For the Kracken, no official word if newly signed Matty Beniers will suit up. He is with the team and practiced yesterday. In practice he skated on the top line centering Ryan Donato and Jordan Eberle.

Devils vs the Yotes. Meh!

Ducks vs the Panthers. Panthers have a commanding lead on the Eastern Conference. Since the trade deadline the Panthers have won 9 out of 10 games. Hopefully they burn out!

Flyers vs Caps. Caps 5 points behind the Bruins for the last wildcard spot. For the Flyers, welcome Bobby Brink to the big show! Brink just won the NCAA scoring title for Denver and also was a huge factor in Denver’s victory over the Michigan Wolverines in the NCAA Championship. Quite a season for him.

Pens vs the Isles. Pens head into UBS Malkin-less, as he is serving a 4 game suspension for his cross check on Borowiecki. This is actually the Isles 1st home game at UBS for the month of April.

Sharks vs the Preds. Meaningless game for Sharks, but for the Preds. They’re not going to catch the Blues in the division so they have to cling onto the wildcard. They are only 1 up on the Stars but they are 3 ahead of the surging Knights. Wild race is tightening in the West.

Kings vs the Hawks. Kings are the team to watch in the West. They are 2 points ahead of Vegas for 3rd in the Pacific. Vegas has a game in hand on them. Kings have lost 3 games in a row, and they play both tonight and tomorrow vs Hawks and then the Avs.

Lightning play the Stars. They are 4pts behind Leafs, and only 1 pt ahead of the B’s. Important game for them as they find themselves out of 3rd and into a wildcard if they lose and the Bruins take a pt. vs the Blues. For the Stars they are clinging onto the last wildcard spot. 1 Behind the Preds, 2 ahead of the Knights.

Knights vs the Canucks. Knights have won 6 of their last 7 games. Currently they are still outside a wildcard spot but a W tonight will put them in 3rd in the Pacific, providing the Kings lose in regulation. The Canucks technically not out of WC contention, but facing a team they consistently have troubles with. 3-8-2 since the Knights joined the league.

Mark Stone back, a with a bunch of new salary on LTIR. Please hockey gods, let that team miss the playoffs.

Vegas keeping their season alive. Late goal to tie it after they dominated third. Going to overtime

Tough loss for the Rangers. With the W, Canes are now 4pts up from the Rangers for 1st in the Metro. Each club has 8 games remaining. Canes were the better team last night but they showed some moxy, and #20 scoring #50 was an amazing thing to see. Good ovations for the former NYR players, so boos for Tony D, but also some DeAngelo sweaters in the building.

Blues over the B’s. Blues remain in 3rd in the West but are tied in pts with the Wild. B’s are still 1pt behind the Lightning in the Atlantic.

Sabres beat up on the Leafs 5-2. Owen Power played 19 minutes in his debut. He played mostly against the Matthews/Marner line and kept them scoreless. Power finished plus 2 on the night. Sabres have an exiting young team.

Sens beat the Wings- Meh!

Wild over the Oilers 5-1. Scrappy game. Hartman and Fiala both with 2 goals. Hartman also went at it with Evander Kane. Kaprizov was right in the middle of it. These guys are tight group. They play for each other. For the Oil, they are up 2pts on the Kings.

Flames beat the Kracken 5-3. Tkachuk with the Hatty! For the Kracken Matty Beniers got on the board with an Assist in his first NHL Game. He centered the top line with Donato and Eberle.

Devs beat up on the Coyotes 6-2. Hischier and Sharangovich both with 3 point nights. Sharangovich, a 5th round pick now has 22 goals, 43 points on the season.

Panthers win again. 3-2 OT over the Ducks. Gibson had a heck of a game, but they Ducks fell short. Huberdeau scored the Game winner in OT. He had 10 shots on net in the game.

Caps hammered the Flyers 9-2. All but 2 Caps players scored a point in the game. Caps are still 3pts behind the B’s.

Isles beat the Pens in OT. Pitt now 5 points behind the Rangers in the Metro.

Preds beat Sharks in 1-0 OT. Tight game, Johanson with the game winner. Preds still in the first WC spat 1 ahead of Stars.

Kings with a big W over the Hawks. They close the distance on the Oil, only 2pts behind thew in the Pacific. They are 3pts up on the Knights.

Stars over the lightning 1-0. Roope with the game winner. Stars 3 up from the Knights for the last WC spot.

Nucks help the Western clubs with an OT W over the Knights. Time running out on the surging Knights. 8 games to go.

Sucks to root for LA, but I would hate to see Vegas sneak in. Av's are their last tough matchup of the seasom, a win here would be huge for them.
