That goal has quickly become ho hum.
Not a fan of the Michigan. Not only is it close to being a high stick, what is a goalie supposed to do to stop it? Stop it by sticking their mask in front of the puck and stick? It’s such a hot dog move and one day a player attempting it is gonna get plastered by a defenseman because they are looking down at the puck trying to attempt it. Save the Michigan for skills competitions and to impress little kids. Having skill is one thing, using it to embarrass others is gonna put a target on your back that you don’t want.

Maybe those players should get better instead so they don't get embarrassed.

Punishing someone for being skilled is the dumbest thing in the world and is the reason the NHL isn't a Top 4 sport in NA.

Current hockey culture is dumb.

Tyson Nash, is that you?

Vegas is going to luck out with a Kings collapse. Kings were playing well over their heads tbh... VGK going to get the 3rd spot in the Pacific

oh get lost. the point of hockey is to outscore the opposition. goalie stops it by not hunching over and giving up the top of the net. a defenseman stops it by blasting the guy trying to pull off the move. truly awful take.

What's The NHL record for most 100 point teams in one season? You could have seven 100 plus point teams in the eastern conference this season. Maybe it could be eight teams with the Capitals who have 90 points with ten games remaining. Probably five teams in the western conference. Colorado. Minnesota. St. Louis. Calgary. Maybe Edmonton. They have 90 points with nine games to go. That team is so inconsistent.

Have all eight playoff teams in one conference had 100 point plus seasons?

If the defensemen can “plaster” the guy attempting it, good for us. Even more entertainment. But the problem is, he usually can’t because he’s worse than the guy doing the Michigan. Those guys get embarrassed a lot on the ice, so it’s strange that this particular move causes them so much extra anger.

Read my past messages before you assume. I want the rangers to win the division and have home ice as long as possible. But if CAR gets the 1 seed, I want BOS to knock them out
Hey, sorry if you took it the wrong way. Have tons of respect for your posts. Yes, I guess I misunderstood to some degree.
I simply dont care for anyone that really wants us to NOT take 1st, if it is there to be had.

Did some research, and as far as I can tell on March12th, the victory over Dallas (end of 4 game road trip) & earlier Carolina win vs Philly
Carolina 41-12-5------87pts + game in hand
Rangers 37-17-5------79pts

We have come quite a ways, haven't we?

Zegras and Svechnikov and all the young skilled guys in the league are welcome to hit the Michigan all they want. If they can execute it, that’s good on them and bad on the opposing D and goalie. They’ll stop doing it when they start getting stopped at a high rate and it becomes low percentage for them to try it. Until that point, go for it. When D start reading it and coming around the other side for the hit (or just standing them up and forcing the turnover, it doesn’t have to be head hunting) then good for the D. I’m fine with it.

Malkin and the Pens in general have actual trouble controlling their emotions. They have actual tantrums as adults. That’s the odor of true entitlement. It’s gross and it makes them easy to dislike, despite their talent. Hope he gets a few games for that.

Love Jeannot.

All good. And yeah i want to just keep winning and let the chips fall where they fall. Having home ice as deep as possible should be the main goal, i think thats a massive advantage for this team

They are sensing that their glory days are over. CRYSby and Malkin both are having anger management issues.

They are back to what they were between the 09 Cup win and the 16-17 wins. Top heavy team with trash depth and a goalie prone to giving up stinkers. The difference now is that Malkin/Crosby/Letang know its the end of the line. If they go out quickly, their new management may look to kickstart a rebuild because Malkin/Letang/Rust are all UFAs and they have not a lot of youth coming up.

They could get a haul of assets if they have the stones to deal Crosby & Guentzel

Goalie can stay in an upright post hug if they are worried about it. Opens up the 5 hole for a centering pass though. Chance you take.

Morgan Barron just scored his 1st goal with the Jets 1-1 Jets vs Canadiens. Playing on a line with Ehlers and Stasny

That was a pretty nice goal on the rush by Barron and two points on the night. You can't even make it up. If we traded Kakko or Laf to Buffalo for Eichel I am sure either one of them would have 20 plus goals and about 50 points by now.
