This isn’t our year lol. I’m watching everybody’s darling **** the bed in like ten mins against the wretched Isles. Team is too soft. Sakic is another one. He will see in the playoffs again.

Islanders fans: All the Rangers have is Shesterkin saving them from getting outshot by a wide margin every night

Islanders: Outshot 50-25, down 5-1
I went over to their board the other day on an off day for their team and they had like 5 active threads, LOL. It was kind of sad to see.

So, at this point in the season, Rangers have the 2nd most regulation wins...and tied for the most shoot out wins. Not sure what that means. They still need to score more goals.

The East still has some movement left before the year is up: 2/3rd place in the Metro. In the Atlantic, Boston is in sniffing distance of TML, and anything goes in terms of FLA and TBL.

If the teams in the Pacific were more interesting, that race SHOULD be the most exciting. However, I can see a team playing the way Calgary plays surprising the top contenders out there.

If only they had our easy schedule where we had to... play 10 of our first 13 games on the road.

Yeah, when I see people complain about schedules i'm reminded of a few seasons ago when the Rangers played like 3 games the entire month of October. New coach, a bunch of kids and a ton of new faces on the roster. Nobody had any chemistry and by the time things got rolling, every other team was already firing on all cylinders.

THAT was brutal and they still somehow managed to stay around .500

The number of teams this year with near to above .700 winning pct is crazy.

Panthers beat up on the Sabres. They retake the lead in the Atlantic over the Lightning and are now 2 pts behind the Canes for first in the Eastern conference.
Kings with a big W over the B’s in OT. They are now 4pts ahead of the Wildcard, and 3 pts ahead of Vegas in the standings. B’s gain a point and stay 4pts ahead of the Caps and 14 pts ahead of Columbus. East is set at least for the teams in it.
Flames beat the Oilers. That’s 3 straight losses for the Oil. They are outside the wildcard by only 2 points. They played 2 more games then both wildcard clubs ahead of them (Pred and Stars)
Leafs beat the Jackets. They are 6th in the conference, 1pt behind the Rangers and Penguins.
Avs beat the Isles at UBS. They were up big but almost blew the lead in the 3rd. Valiant effort by the Isles that fell short. Put a fork in em! Avs are atop the entire league with a 4pt lead over the Canes.

Deadline Sellers in the Eastern conference are Habs, Sens, Sabres, Flyers, Devs, Isles, Wings and likely the Jackets.
Deadline sellers in the West is the Yotes, Kracken, Hawks, Sharks, Jets. I would include the Canucks after Rutherfords comments. Ducks, Oilers Preds and Stars are all within 4 points.

Stars have 6 games to go before the deadline
Oilers have 5 games to go before the deadline
Preds have 7 games to go before the deadline
Ducks have 6 games to go before the deadline

Wild are a team to watch as fallers. They only won 2 out of their last 8 games. They have 6 games to go before the deadline.

There is NOBODY at this isles game. The most fair weather of fans. That building will be half empty most nights

The logistics of getting to and from that arena are a horror show. They would have been better off opening the new barn next season when the parking garage and new LIRR station/interlocking were completed.

Driving to the arena? $40 to park in a lot on the other side of the racetrack where you either have a good 10 minute walk or you rely on a shuttle bus to take you to the arena. Or you buy a parking pass on stubhub for one of the closer lots and hope you find a good deal.

Taking the LIRR? Good luck with that. In general the LIRR is bad but they really upped it with this situation. The shuttle trains to and from Jamaica to the spur station have no direct connections. So you need to rely on getting yourself to Jamaica in plenty of time going to the game. Coming home? Good luck because the train leaves 20 minutes time after the game and you may have a 30 minute wait for the next train to your destination.

Going to the new elmont station? Enjoy a shuttle bus ride to or from Queens village if you're coming from the Huntington or Ronk lines since those trains can't service the new station with the current track layout.

2 minutes into FLA/PIT the Penguins feed is pumping up Sidney Crosby as a Hart candidate. Theres homerism, and then theres that.
