The logistics of getting to and from that arena are a horror show. They would have been better off opening the new barn next season when the parking garage and new LIRR station/interlocking were completed.

Driving to the arena? $40 to park in a lot on the other side of the racetrack where you either have a good 10 minute walk or you rely on a shuttle bus to take you to the arena. Or you buy a parking pass on stubhub for one of the closer lots and hope you find a good deal.

Taking the LIRR? Good luck with that. In general the LIRR is bad but they really upped it with this situation. The shuttle trains to and from Jamaica to the spur station have no direct connections. So you need to rely on getting yourself to Jamaica in plenty of time going to the game. Coming home? Good luck because the train leaves 20 minutes time after the game and you may have a 30 minute wait for the next train to your destination.

Going to the new elmont station? Enjoy a shuttle bus ride to or from Queens village if you're coming from the Huntington or Ronk lines since those trains can't service the new station with the current track layout.

And you're a clear exception to the rule rather than the norm. Paying $40 on top of a game ticket then walking a mile + in the cold or waiting in Jamaica with all the degenerates for 30+ minutes consistency isn't appealing too many folks. Would you want to do that for a Rangers game? Especially when they're playing like the isles are? MSG would be a ghost town.

Yotes hammered the Red Wings. Schmaltz with another huge game 2g,2a 4pts. Chychrun had a 3pt night with 8 shots on net.
Preds took a big regulation win over the Stars in the battle of the Western Widlcard teams. They leapfrogged the Stars into first wildcard spot.
Sens beat the Blues 4-1. Blues are only 2 ahead of the Wild in the Central. Wild have a game in hand.
Caps beat the Flames. They are 2pts behind the B’s and sit in the last wildcard in the East. Unlikely anyone catches them. 12 pts ahead of Columbus.
Panthers beat the Penguins. Cats have a 3 point lead over Tampa in the Atlantic.
Leafs beat the Kracken. Closing the gap on the Lightning. They are 2pts behind them.
Jets beat the Lightning 7-4. They are 7pts behind the last Wildcard club in the West.
Wild over the Rangers. Wild stay in 3rd in the Central. Rangers and Pitt remain tied with 77pts. Rangers have a game in hand.
Hawks beat up on the Ducks. Ducks have played 2 more games then Edmonton and Vancouver. 2 points separate all 3 teams. All three are outside the wildcard currently.

Pretty amazing they have 3 Canadian teams on for their doubleheader tonight, guessing that never happened on nbc sports in the regular season ever.

Kracken beat the Habs in OT. Battle for inferiority! Habs are dead last in the league, and have a 16.6% chance of winning the draft lotto. Kracken second worst in the league with 12.1% chance of winning the lotto.

Devs beat the Ducks in OT. Ducks pick up a pt, and are 4 pts out of the wildcard in the West. They also played more games then the clubs in front of them. Too early to put a fork in em', but they are halfway cooked.

Flames shutout the Wings 3-0. They are running away from the pack in the Pacific. 7 Pts ahead of the Kings.

Sharks shutout the Kings 5-0. 2 more goals for the Hertl watchers. 25 on the Season. 2 W’s in a row for the Sharks but it’s a little too late. Still 9 pts out of the wildcard.

Canes with a huge 3-1 win over the Flyers put them in 1st place in the League with a game in hand over the Avs. Big props for Derek Stepan who picked up his 500th NHL Point.

Hawks over the Sens 6-3. 3 pt Night for Pat Kane who now has 68 pts in 56 games this season. Tied with Panarin 1pt behind JT Miller in scoring this season. 9, 10, 11th in the league respectively.

B’s over the Coyotes. Bruins are 2pts behind the Leafs for 3rd in the Atlantic, but Leafs have a game in hand.

Good guys with a big W over the Stars. Rangers and Pens are tied with 79 pts in 59 games.

Oilers with a win over the Lightning leapfrog the Knights for 3rd in the Pacific. Oil also have a game in hand. Ken Holland can we interest you in one slightly disgruntled backup Bulgarian netminder?
