I’m not surprised Lundell is as good as he is. I wanted the Rangers to trade up to get him when he started falling.

I actually thought he was going to be a dud and wanted the Rangers to stay far away - sometimes you get egg on your face.

Say what you want but Igor did deserve to be in the all-star game. Regardless if the Rangers fans wanted him at the game, is another issue.

May I ask why? You were not the only one, he dropped quite a bit in the evaluation rankings in his draft year, even in Finland ex-pro's were a bit ho-hum about his game at times. I never got that, so I'm just curious what made you think dud? I asked the same question pre-draft of Steve Kournianos when he had Lundell sliding down his rankings and he wanted to see more offensive "flash" essentially iirc.

With the caveat that I in no way consider myself to be some great evaluator of talent, I didn't love his skating and I was concerned that his offensive production had plateaued - basically I saw him as Lias without the attitude issues.

The Piles soft as warm butter schedule is about to end. They have played exactly 5 games on the road in the last 2.5 months against mostly weak competition and are still 17 points behind the last playoff spot. After the break the oldest team in the league plays a condensed schedule with 43 games in 2.5 months, and a lot of road games and travel. Good luck with that. My only hope is Dino Lou trades another 1st rounder for some help at the TDL and it backfires just like the last 2 years when they gave up first and second rounders for the likes of Palmeri and Pageau and then signed them to expensive contracts. Please do it again GM of the year.

Yes it wasn't an uncommon view. I saw some interviews early on where I was impressed with his character, also saw some regular games, that helped keep things in balance for me when people started second guessing. It's interesting to see in hindsight how it played out.

Rocky Wirtz is a disgrace to the franchise. Dude could have easily just lied, or taken the easy out that his son was trying to give him. Instead he doubles down on being a pitful excuse for a human being.

And because he's the owner, nothing will happen. And by his response, we know nothing will happen with the franchise in regards to preventing future events that Kyle Beach endured from happening.

Everyone wants to know what the Blackhawks organisation has learned and changed from the Kyle Beach incident so that such a thing never happens again.

It would seem, based on this, that the answer to that question is absolutely bloody nothing.
