Great News! His first order of business is determining the future of Lindholm, Manson, and Rakell. Ducks have to re-sign Lindholm, so much better with him in the line up.

He’s cooked. He cashed in on an us versus the world mentality with some gutsy players that outworked everybody for two years. This team’s lack of talent is evident. They need to face reality and rebuild around Barzal, Wahlstrom, Sorokin, Dobson. This team is putrid and unwatchable. Signed too many middle-six guys long-term.

But...but...but....they were headed for the Cup this year!

Miserable and delusional fanbase. They deserve everything they are getting this year.

They went far in the playoffs two years in a row because they benefitted from Covid. They wouldn't have made the playoffs in 2020; when the season was canceled they were nosediving and we were surging. That team is a complete JOKE and I LOVE it!

Nope. Just sour grapes from a hater who wishes his team had the talent and youth that the Rangers do. Having a Norris trophy winner, a Vezina trophy caliber goalie, and a top PP wins you a lot of games in this league. We also Kakko, Laf, Miller, Goodrow, Strome, Trouba, Schneder, who can and will make an impact.

Isn't that the basic gist of it though. We're not really playing well. Some individuals are playing exceptionally... But by and large we're getting by beating up on bad teams and surviving based on our all world dman and goalie

We are essentially being carried by shesterkin, fox and our pp. (Kreider, Mika and the vets)

But at least I can sleep at night knowing that despite our poor play and being carried by them, we have a fairly legit roster overall.

Yeah I agree. The roster isn't perfect but it's pretty good.

With that said I think they're nowhere near clicking on all cylinders

One thing I just thought of is that Isles fans started the 1940 chant in 1981, 41 years after we won in 1940 (math checks out).

So I guess in 2024 assuming I just didn’t jinx it, they’ll know how that drought feels.

Absolutely. But at least the Rangers not firing on all cylinders is still a playoff team, while the Islanders are not, despite all the excuses their fans want to use next.

Don’t think the Ducks are ready to take on a FA just yet. Need at least another year before they can compete for a playoff spot.

Uh no. Their schedule has been tough lately. Over their last 20 games they have played 14 of them against teams currently in a playoff position and are 8-6.

Friedman said today that Rakell is the most likely of those 3 to be traded. Rangers need to be all over him if so. Swiss army knife top 6 guy who can play C in a pinch.
