The Piles soft as warm butter schedule is about to end. They have played exactly 5 games on the road in the last 2.5 months against mostly weak competition and are still 17 points behind the last playoff spot. After the break the oldest team in the league plays a condensed schedule with 43 games in 2.5 months, and a lot of road games and travel. Good luck with that. My only hope is Dino Lou trades another 1st rounder for some help at the TDL and it backfires just like the last 2 years when they gave up first and second rounders for the likes of Palmeri and Pageau and then signed them to expensive contracts. Please do it again GM of the year.

They need to face reality and rebuild around Barzal, Wahlstrom, Sorokin, Dobson. This team is putrid and unwatchable. Signed too many middle-six guys long-term.

He’s cooked. He cashed in on an us versus the world mentality with some gutsy players that outworked everybody for two years. This team’s lack of talent is evident. They need to face reality and rebuild around Barzal, Wahlstrom, Sorokin, Dobson. This team is putrid and unwatchable. Signed too many middle-six guys long-term.

Is there a more overrated player by Islanders fans than Barzal? Hes got all world skill and scores some pretty/clutch goals, but all i ever see him do is take penalties and over pass and lose the puck. My buddy tried to tell me he was better than Zibanejad, which isnt even worth a response

Yea, I don’t think it’s close either. Sure, I’m a NYR fan, but Zibanejad literally covers 200 feet, kills penalties, and has 80+ point potential. Barzal isn’t Zibanejad. He’s a solid player, though.

Every other Metro Division team looks like they are taking 1 last kick at the can (Pens/Caps), rebuilding (BJs/Devils) or about to be (Flyers/Islanders). The Rangers & Canes look like they will be the heavies coming out of this division for the next few years.

He's a good player but overrated for sure. He has skill but he plays no defense and isn't very smart. He also has only had 1 year of PPG scoring. Mika plays a 200 ft game and has averaged a PPG over the last 4 years. 49 in 47 games this year also.

It's hard to imagine the Penguins ever having a bad season for the rest of our lives.

They are a machine. Doesn't matter how many guys get hurt, even Crosby/Malkin being out doesn't bother them, they win no matter what its truly amazing

And every couple years they get into unbeatable mode. Hopefully they have already hit their peak this year but sometimes I think they're gunna win like 25 of 27 or something
