Habs fans may want Laffy, but they will chase Gorts out of town if he trades a lotto ticket for Bedard with great odds. Heck, with his luck he'll probably get Wright (Montreal hosting the draft, practically a lock) then Michkov or Bedard next year.
I don't watch washington at all; you thinking they will miss the playoffs?
Rangers being in control isn't all that comforting. Third place is still a great achievement.
The Caps have not been impressive at all. I'm surprised that so far the Rangers have had one bad stretch and that was when Shesterkin was out and pretty damn short at 2-4-1.
It wouldn't surprise me. I've been waiting for that shoe to drop for them all season and its finally dropped. They may sneak in at the end, but that team is not that good.
In regards to Pittsburgh, I'm just saying that they still control where they can finish based off of their games remaining with the Pens. They could easily lose all of them. It's not like they're 20+ points behind them or have no means to make up/create ground.

DeAngelo gets jumped by two guys and the goalie, that’s right, the goalie, Freddie Andersen, goes into the corner to rough someone up. I was told something something everybody hates him? Our fans want to complain the 5v5 offense stinks so bad but were the same ones pushing him out the door.

Who said everyone hates him? He was clearly a popular player amongst most of his teammates here and its been leaked that Georgiev is the unpopular player the room.
There was a small group of people who wanted him out - Some for stuff unrelated to hockey, others because they don't understand that Staal-esque defensemen are no longer a good thing in today's game. The overwhelming majority of people here were pissed that he flew off the handle (and lets not act like he didn't get multiple chances) which led to us losing a really good player for nothing.
All this does is make me angry lol... Both at him for being an asshat and at Quinn for being a moron who doesn't know how to manage a room.

DeAngelo is getting PP1 minutes for the best team in the league, partnered with Jaccob Slavin, who is a rock defensively. Here he would be playing 3rd pair minutes with Nemeth and playing PP2 behind Fox. Hes also on a prove it 1 year deal so you know he's on his best behavior.
Hes a good player but his impact on this team would not be nearly as high

They’re moving forward with Couturier/Hayes/Ellis/Farabee as their core, which is a clear third-worst in the division ahead of the rebuilding Devils and Jackets. As much as I dislike the Flyers, I actually kind of feel bad for their fans. Five wins in their last 29 games - four of which were against the Coyotes, Kraken, Senators, and Devils.

Of the NHL teams that have had him, the Rangers lasted by far the longest before deciding the juice wasn't worth the squeeze. But they're criticized for not making it longer?
He's a guy who needs a kick in the ass every once in a while. He was brutal in the bubble and brutal for six games in 2021. He played six games, but led the Rangers in 5-on-5 goals against for a month after he was waived. Selfish penalties, one point. He had a groin or hamstring injury in the bubble and looked noticeably slower in 2021. Was his preparation where it needed to be?
Not surprisingly, Carolina is getting a better version. A version the Rangers hadn't seen since March 2020. But they know what they have in him. He plays 15:43 per game at even strength, about 40 seconds more than the Rangers give Nemeth, almost 2 minutes less than Pesce and Skjei. Only plays PK on accident. Obviously an elite PP distributor. They're rumored to be after Klingberg.
If we're going to talk DeAngelo, let's tell the whole story. Both his proponents and his detractors miss the mark on him by a football field.
