How much is he going to want as a UFA? Can't see how Pitt doesn't try to keep him but I'd gladly take him in our middle6. The exact type of sparkplug we've been needing.

28 yo, not a spring chicken. Didn't he hit form just this season? I'm sure there are factors such as system and fit.

I like the idea, could you post his last few seasons as well? Is there a clear trend or is this maybe an outlier?

Lol nobody wanted Evan Rodrigues until he got a chance to play with Crosby. Now Guentzel, Rust, Malkin are all back and what do you know he's gone 8 games without a point as he's back in a lower line role and off the top PP. He is a solid depth player. He's no longer a good target because he's now likely to get overpaid.

Rodrigues was carrying the team when Crosby was out.

Playing within the bottom6 affects your point total... who would have thought.... almost like we shouldn't have our prized youth playing with bottom6 players

Emilie Castonguay was just named Asst. GM in Van.

She was formerly a player agent. Laf was one of her clients.

Interesting new trend for organizations to try and find intelligent people instead of re-cycling former players by default...

I hope all of you are enjoying the demise of the flyers organization. Soft, talentless, gutless rollovers with a pitiful prospect pool embarrassing themselves and their fans on a nightly basis. Revisit the ghosts of eras past and ship the entire shitshow to Quebec and start all over again.

Watching the devils first period and I see a lot of the same. I love when the Rangers are winning and we can watch our division rivals sputter along on nights we don't have games.

Bookmarking this for when the Habs offer-sheet Laf next offseason. Run by the man who drafted him and his former agent.

Wow. Pittsburgh losing in the third to Arizona. I guess they aren’t good?
No, they are good again. 6 in a row for Pitt after they finish off Arizona. They play Seattle, then Detroit. Could cruise to 8 in a row before two tougher ones against LA and WASH, but 10 in a row is very possible.

Man, Arizona sucks. Teams don't take them seriously fall behind and then when they start taking them seriously they get their doors blown off.
