I agree but Probably gotta win the division to get one of them. The Pens are just offensively firing on all cylinders. Won't be long until they solidify a top 3 spot in metro.

Well see where the Pens are in April. They have trouble staying healthy historically and I still don’t trust the goalie

I think they need a new coach. I’m not usually a ‘fire the coach’ guy, but that team has talent and apparently no real bad apples. They probably need a better goalie too. But when a team is consistently checked-out like they are, I look at the coach. Even the Rangers, for all their faults under Quinn, never struck me as not caring.

The terrible goaltending has broken them

Marchand drives me crazy when we play against the Bruins but I would be thrilled beyond belief if the Rangers could acquire him. I also don’t get the hate for him. He’s a pest, but he’s not a danger out on the ice. He’s just insanely competitive.

He’s Sean Avery on steroids. If he played for us he would be one of the most popular players here of all time

Laf or Kakko, Chytil, Miller, Georgiev, Othman and 3 1sts.
This is the best offer the organization can probably set forth, but the Rangers would need to send Krieder or Trouba the other way to make the money work. It's just not going to happen.

Yeah, look this is fantasy land stuff, I know. But if there was ever a possibility that this guy was really available and wanted to come to the Rangers, you'd have to try whatever you could to make it work. Kreider could be dealt elsewhere too, doesn't have to be to Edmonton.

Would rather deal Trouba is possible. But I would def offer some combination of Laf, Kakko, a couples 1sts, Schnedier, Othman, Lundkvist, kravstov, Chytil, Miller

A team with Panarin, Fox, Shesterkin amd Mcdavid + Kreider/Zibby would be an NHL exec's wet dream

Trouba's modified doesn't kick in until 2024 so that wouldn't be an option right now.

Since we are talking fantasy land, and it's Friday, I wonder what the Rangers would have to pay another team to eat 25% of his salary? Like say you get Arizona to hold 3 million of his salary for the next 4 years - what would that cost? It's probably too much (but we are in fantasy land Friday so bear with me), but could it be something like a decent prospect and then a draft pick in every year? Like someone like Cuylle plus 2nd in 2023, 3rd in 24, 3rd in 25, 4th in 24?

KK or AF, Chytil, Miller, all our firsts and seconds for all time, Bobby Granger, Cuylle instead of Othmann, Georgiev and Strome.

Not sure the $ works so Edmonton might have to retain :D

Marchand is one of my favorite players from any rival team, as skilled and annoying as he can be, he is always entertaining to watch.

He used to be early in his career. The low-bridge on Salo for an example. But he has cleaned up his play from those years yet is haunted by that reputation to this day.

Absolutely. Probably one of the top five players - or maybe higher - I’d want to poach from another team.

RIP. He was someone who made the rivalry what it was and strengthened hockey in the area. 67 is young to go.

He always came off as a great guy in interviews. I attended a charity game the Islanders alumni played with fans years ago as one of my childhood friends got to skate on a line with Bossy and Goring and we were all cheering him on.

Very friendly environment. Gillies was messing with everyone on the bench and laughing and smiling the entire time.

67 is way way too young.
