NHL announced the schedule changes. Rangers will still be off from February 2 to 14. Quality practice time.

I would be pretty disappointed in Draisaitl's response if I was the Oilers. Matheson is a puke, but he should be able to stand in there without reacting like he did. As a great man once said, "If you can't beat the clown, how you gonna beat Shooter McGavin?" He's gonna have a lot tougher opponents than Matheson looking for a usable quote.

Ah, Happy Gilmore. I always knew you were a man of culture my friend.

Ovi leads the league in Goals and Points.... what a legend.

Derek Stepan is 31 years old.... I could have sworn he was pushing 40

I love Matheson's follow-up statement he angrily phrased as a question- 'u mad bro'

I don't know why this is shocking to me, but Antti Raanta is 32. Coulda swore the guy was 32 when he was on the Rangers like 6 years ago.

So nhl is correct to stop testing players. Better off to let it burn through.

cdc is finally admitting that people have had had covid fare better than those who just had vaccine.

sucks that u have get it. But once u do u are better off.

hopefully now that it ripped through the league it wont have much impact anymore.

CDC report finds prior infection provided strong protection against COVID-19 in 2021, but experts warn it's 'playing with dynamite' to get sick on purpose

Also hopefully that it is ripping through the world it will help against future variants. And also we can stop this vaccine mandate nonsense.

Just us. Teams that had a lot of games pushed are playing more during February. I think Ottawa has 5 games during the period we're off.

Thanks. Makes sense. Now that I think about it, coincides with the Olympics, so they're going to use the two weeks that would've been dark to let the other teams catch up.

Also from the same report:
  • Still, vaccination remains the safest strategy for developing protection against COVID-19 to avoid the risks of serious complications, including long COVID.

well yes, because u dont actually get the virus. So thats common sense. But if u so get it, u are better off after u recover which is most people.

so this is good news for the nhl. Probably wont see many if any cancellations later in the season

Does anyone else feel like the Bruins are a bunch of frauds retiring O'Ree's jersey? He broke the color barrier decades ago and they decided to retire it I believe during the George Floyd time period. f***ing opportunists.

tf do I know, from across the pond, but it does seem off to me too. Considering Boston's reputation ... :dunno:

It must be fun watching MacKinnon and Makar on your team.

One day, we'll get top picks like that.

I’m stuck here trying to decide if the real plague we are facing right now is a virus or this trend wherein people feel like they are expert in something after reading (and usually misreading) Yahoo articles or listening to some random YouTuber discuss topics they only vaguely understand.
