The buffalo return is okay, not great. Was always going to be the case.

I’m not sold on Krebs and that first is going to be late.

Rangers could have beat that which signals Buffalo didn’t want to move him here (which we knew already)

Couldn't have said it any better. I kinda want to find the Buffalo fans that said "The package starts with Adam Fox or GTFO".

As a mod I probably shouldn't but I'm all out of f***s to give so...

Star players never get equal value in these trades. Doesnt mean it can't look equal in the long run if Krebs becomes a great player or eichels injuries cause issue.

I got thread banned on the main board for pointing out that if you had proposed this exact package yesterday you would have been shouted down by Sabres fans and today they're all pretending they love it .
 
So the return for Eichel is one of the most overrated forwards in the league, a giant tooth that can ice skate and a late first essentially.

Lame.

Man, Tuch is a solid but not great player, Krebs I still have some hope for, and a late first, basically... That's rough, on the surface.

Tuch is also hurt lol

This is so unimpressive. A top 30 prospect in hockey, an injured power winger, and what's very likely to be a late 1st. This board has made better offers than that.

Kind of hilarious to see the rollercoaster that Sabres fans have been on thinking they might get Theodore or Tkachuk in return for Eichel based on reports this last week.

That being said, that package is pretty underwhelming, and I would've much rather done a package along those lines than give Mika the 8-year contract. Eichel is going to get the ADR, have a slow start in his return back to the NHL, and then just go back to being Jack Eichel. The Pegulas probably mandated that Eichel never be traded here.

Probably the biggest thing here and something I’d be fuming about if I was Eichel is waiting this long for a return that isn’t even that spectacular

No doubt in my mind Buffalo could have gotten this exact package if not more in the summer.

Dragging this into the season to waste everyone’s time and push Eichels surgery out even more is just petty shit from Buffalo
