We could have offered an extended Buchnevich, 1st, Chytil this off season in the same mold of top 6 winger, 1st, center prospect but nope.

Tuch waking up to this news:

Probably the biggest thing here and something I’d be fuming about if I was Eichel is waiting this long for a return that isn’t even that spectacular

No doubt in my mind Buffalo could have gotten this exact package if not more in the summer.

Dragging this into the season to waste everyone’s time and push Eichels surgery out even more is just petty shit from Buffalo

They could have had this or better. Sometimes when you overplay your hand you are forced to accept the inevitable shit sandwich.

it's reported that Krebs was a big hang-up for Vegas and they really didn't want to trade him. I do agree that i'm sure Buffalo had better offers and purposely spurned them.

I'm actually surprised how good this deal is considering the way the Sabres butchered Eichels value.

Krebs is a good prospect. The first and second is good value. Tuch is a desirable player in this league right now, hes a NY native - even though he will be out until January he will be a good shot in the arm for Buffalo if their "hot" start amounts to something. He could also be traded for a high pick before the deadline if they want

It will be interesting to see how Eichels surgery/health progresses. Glad he is out West.

Happy this puts all the Eichel talk to the Rangers to bed.

Team Cozens coping so hard lmfao

"I don't care if the pick is 31st OA, great deal woot!"

Tuch, Krebs, 31 OA and it's a WOOT worthy deal lmfao

Im pretty sure at this point he is a troll. If we would have suggested Tuch, Krebs and a 1st to him last week he would have laughed and told us to gtfo.

Big question is if Eichel after his surgery will be "close" to the same player before the injury. Anyways glad it's over.

This is what Buffalo (the organization, not the fans) deserves after a blatant tank job in a failed attempt to draft McDavid, followed by years of even more mismanagement and losing and alienating their best player. Now they've shipped out a #1 C for an inferior return for the second time in three years.

I have little doubt that he will be.

I think the bigger question is what does is durability look like moving forward? Forget the neck stuff, he's been dinged up a ton aside from that.

Oh man the mental gymnastics to think this is a good return for Buffalo and that it is some sort of haul is a sight to see.

They 100% could've gotten a better return if they traded him around the draft or FA opening and if they were willing to take the best deal instead of forcing him out west.

I can get Buffalo fans being happy that it's over and excited about their new pieces and Krebs is an exciting prospect but it is inarguable that this is an weak return for Eichel. Value wise it's flat out bad.

Good middle 6 winger in Tuch, okay.
Very good prospect in Krebs.
1st round pick that will be in the 20s.
2nd round pick

That is not even in the same ballpark as what a player like Eichel should return, even considering all of the extenuating circumstances. Should've at least gotten either another 1st or another good prospect instead of a 2nd rounder.

Also, I can never help but bring up how different Rick Nash was before he was concussed by Brad Stuart and came back too early from it.

Guy was a special player in 2013. A total bull all over the offensive zone. He could carry the puck into any area of the ice and no one could stop him.

We win the cup in 2014 with pre-concussion Rick Nash.

you assume Kevyn Adam's armor had cracked over the summer. He was totally in the "I'm invincible! FOUR 1sts for Eichel, bitches!" mood until this month when reality hit. I think he really wanted Krebs and Vegas played their cards right and were like "no, no, no" and then "well if you give us a 3rd with Eichel and make the first protected..." Like they really diluted the trade to Tuch, Krebs, and a 1st. So we'd have to be like "no way can you have Chytil" and Buffalo would have to really want Chytil for your summer scenario to work. We also have a Kakko, Laf, Lundkvist, Jones, Schneider, Robertson confusing Adams. He's probably like a kid in the candy shop, stamping his feet and demanding 4 of those just listed.

Always hated the way Gabby’s time here ended. Was a really electric player when he was healthy.

One of my favorite moments from the nightmare shirt season in 2013 and probably the only time the Nash/Gaborik combo worked out.

The 3OT game winner was the most exhausted I was after watching a game, and I was home for it. It was such a draining game to watch. You're nervous half the time, Ovechkin hits the post in OT1 and you think it is over. When that shot went in, woke up everyone in my house. They all thought I got hurt.

BTW Gaborik is probably the greatest FA signing in Ranges history. Will always be a huge fan of that guy and it killed me that he was on the other side when the Kings beat us. f*** Torts.
