I won't speak for anyone else on HFNYR, but I'm more than ok with it.
In a way I am to. But at the same time. If he leads them to a cup we may regret it. Of course, with them playing in the west, could mean they pay a much lower price than what Rangers would have to pay

I guarantee you that we won't regret not trading for Eichel. Let him go to Vegas. If that teams finds a way to win a cup with him, good for him and them. Don't care, unless it's against us.

I think the window for Vegas is limited though. When they crash, they are going to crash hard.

Maybe. But at least they are trying

And teams that don't trade for Eichel aren't trying? I would say they are pretty smart. It's all rumor right now anyway. I'm very happy the Rangers stayed away from this potential disaster. Anybody who trades for him should not expect him to play this year. This is a huge risk for a team, giving up multiple assets/picks for a player with serious neck issues making 10 mil per. It is my opinion that the team that trades for him will regret it. So happy it won't be the Rangers.

Kupari had a good game for LA, second star of the game. Kind of unfortunate, he's getting comfy in the NHL now so guess we can forget about getting him in a trade.

Lot of moving parts involved, including whether Eichel has his surgery performed by Dr Frankenstein.

Very timely since it involves his neck. Eichel will walk out with electrodes sticking out of both sides of his neck. Whether they are functional or non-functional (decorative) remains to be seen. Really depends on if insurance is willing to cover them.

Dumbest tradition in hockey that could’ve been so good

Did I mention how much I dislike The Kraken only bc of their marketing team?

Edit: it’s a gimmick team. From the banners to quirky team pictures. I get having fun but it’s more of a movie team at this point. Not into it. Yeah, maybe I’m getting old but I wont yell “ get off my lawn” today.

What would you call Ottawa? And pretty much any prediction has Nashville as one of the worst teams this year as well. But anyway not trying to start an argument, just thought it was kinda funny for someone to talk about quality of opponents when you have had a soft schedule as well. If you had beaten Florida, Carolina, Tampa and Boston, I probably have had no ground to stand on.

How'd that work out for you today?

Well, Vegas are going after big name players. Stone, Pietrangelo and Maybe Eichel. The reason many wanted a Rangers rebuild was because of the lack of stars. Vegas seems to get it done without tearing everything down and waste half a decade. Or eight to ten years which is what you really need according to Ken Holland.

Marek at the intermission says the NHLPA is having a meeting on Monday and they are pissed, they feel the NHLPA let down Kyle Beach. Donald Fehr's future as Executive Director of the NHLPA will also be discussed. One potential replacement for Fehr could be Mathieu Schneider.

Going after big name players isn't always a recipe for success. Vegas was also gifted a playoff roster from day 1. That's what happens when you pay 650 million to the NHL. They will regret it if they trade for Eichel and when they fall they are going to fall hard.
