Hey guys, best of luck this season!

Perhaps this is more, let’s call it Therapeutic - but could I get some of your perspectives on Vigneault from his end days with the NYR?

That time seems to be coming in Philadelphia, and good riddance.

Anyway, If anyone has a minute to give some thoughts would appreciate it.

Take Care.

not enough expletives in the world for AV's last two years here. just not possible.

That’s some lazy reporting from Pang considering the obvious ones… Crosby and Ovechkin have been with their team’s since 2005.

Malkin, Backstrom, Letang, Toews, Kane, Marchand, Getzlaf, Kopitar, Brown, Bergeron, Etc.

Bergeron, Getzlaf and Brown are all from the 2003 draft. Bergeron debuted the earliest and is the longest tenured player in the NHL.

geez you’re right last time I quote Panger on anything

Buffalo's Thompson is damn huge, in height..

Plays like a gentle giant though..
He is an omnipotent Magic Giraffe God and my lord and savior.

Jimmy Hayes passed weeks ago due to an overdose. I had my suspicions, as 31 year olds that have been through health screenings and physicals that would pick up any heart condition or something of that ilk don't just drop dead like this. Please get help if you're reading this and going through something similar.

Hayes family: Fentanyl was in ex-NHLer's system

Fentanyl is the #1 killer of former athletes it seems.

Fentanyl is a stupidly strong medication. 100 fold stronger than Morphine that I need a DEA number as an NP to prescribe. Fentanyl is being used more and more mixed with cocaine and heroin to give their customers stronger highs. When someone injests or injects something with Fentanyl in it unknowingly, they can get in huge trouble. Jimmy was really unlucky to have gotten some bad cocaine, it seems. Horrible.

Fentanyl is incredibly dangerous just because of how thin the line is between safe and fatal.

If you use, please get test kits, even if you think your source is safe. They are incredibly easy to get, and are worth every penny.

I wish this country was more supportive/accepting of users, if only for stuff like this, instead of being as punishing as it is currently. The support available is not nearly enough.

That’s sad and yeah it does sound like he had coke mixed with it. I know they mix it in for the euphoria added effect. Putting the obvious dangers aside, just think about what that does to your heart mixing coke and fent. And many don’t even know they’re doing it.

Well, the first two seasons were good, great in fact.
I think to myself it was because we had the D-heavy Torts system still in the team and the O-heavy AV system complemented it well.

After that though, the defense got weaker and weaker until we were left with a joke of a system and the sheer ineptitude of AV started to show.
His last years weren't fun, the King was too good and basically kept AV employed on his own.

He couldn't coach the team in a game to save his life and answered the press with the same platitudes.
imo his firing came a couple of years too late.

10 grains, the size of salt, will kill you. There's multiple videos of police officers bodies seizing up just by handling it. It's a major problem.

There's even something worse than Fentanyl now....

Maybe it’s me just noticing it more because I’m playing fantasy hockey but the injuries going around this season seem pretty high for like 5 games in.

Erik Erlendsson of Lightning Insider tweeted that the initial word on Nikita Kucherov is not good and he may require surgery.

That's bad news for the Lightning and fantasy managers who drafted Kucherov. It appeared Kucherov injured his hip (not the one he had surgery on last year) and left the ice in the third period Saturday. More should be revealed later in the day. Kucherov is a superstar in the NHL and led the playoffs in scoring with 32 points in 23 games after missing the entire 2020-21 regular season. We wish him the best.

He'll be back for the playoffs after another cap circumventing IR stint.

TB doesn't have any more ammo nor the depth.

They are in their cap crunch. They got their 2 cups though right on time. It's been an 8 year run.

IMO Their window opened with Cooper. I see a lot of similarities to our team. IMO our window opens with Gallant. In 7-8 years we will have to endure something similar.... we hope.

So many dumb things by this guy. Has the privilege to make millions by playing a sport he loves, and continues to f*** things up.

Such a shame, a good player when he actually decides to focus on hockey.

Did they purposefully not even mention the betting allegation, or did they just forget with all his other issues?

I thought they cleared him of betting accusations when they announced they were investigating him for breaching covid protocols.

Hard to keep track. I thought this thread convicted him of that and the domestic abuse months ago.
