5-7.

We would need 10-2-1 or greater. Not sure on the tiebreakers

should have lost both to the Rangers. Losing back to back to Boston. Hmm, the Isles are struggling

We will need to hit .600+ to make it. Take care of business with our own games and see who is near .600 if we get there.

Islanders still have to play the Caps three times, still have three more games to play against you (two at MSG)...maybe the Islanders can be the ones who the Rangers knock out of the playoffs instead. The Bruins still have five games left with the Sabres and two more with the Devils (I know they've had their struggles vs. NJD but you can't count on them to continue). Just not enough losable games on their schedule.

Thanks, Fishsticks.

If all goes well, by Tuesday night we can be 4 points behind the Isles having both played 46 games.
Seems Boston was feeling the heat from the Rangers coming up trying to push Boston out, and seemingly forcing Boston into making moves at tdl. While we stood pat.
But now what has happened is........ Boston sweeping the Islanders and now quite possibly, it's the Islanders that are now in the hot seat "if" anyone wants to look at schedule toughness.

Regardless, the Rangers simply have to go on that "hot streak" that the teams above them have experienced, while we haven't "yet".
