AV this season reminds me of Torts with Vancouver, though one season removed. I kind of got some schadenfreude from both.
I looked at Anthony Duclair's career stats and honestly they're kind of underwhelming. Remember when he and Buch were two of our top prospects? Glad we kept Buch.

Just watched the highlights from the Flyers game. That was some of the absolute worst goaltending that I've ever seen in the NHL. Elliott shouldn't be getting paid to play at this level anymore.
Watching the San Diego Gulls game last night, and there is Lias Andersson, on the Reign. It’s crazy that he cannot even crack the Kings line up. Wasn’t the Rangers organization that was the issue apparently.

Given the success/progression we've seen from other recent first rounders in the same time frame, ie Chytil, Nils, Miller, Krav, i would say that we missed on one first rounder out of multiple, which happens, and is far from an issue.

I never want to draft for grit in the top 10 ever again. I don't want to hear swiss army knife ever again either. Thank God for Chytil to salvage that first round.
It's just that I personally can't stand drafting low ceiling, how floor guys high. I know some disagree with it felt like McIlrath all over again. Mind you for that reason I wouldn't have drafted the Tkachuks and they've turned out to be good players.

Pls let's not debate Lias more and blame the Rangers org when the entire scouting community had him a mid 1st and a lickitylock surefire NHLer. Guys randomly bust, it's just a thing.

Yup...big swing and a miss on him . Hopefully he will be the only first rounder we miss on of late as it is just going to get harder finding talent in the draft especially this year and possibly next with so many guys not even playing at the junior level . The Rangers might have to throw a lot of faith into aged scouting reports and analytics ...so....hopefully they have that covered . Penguins always had a knack for finding guys to stay successful . Not sure who they had bird dogging for them...but somebody knew what they were doing . Scouting is such huge part of any future success for good teams .
He's terrible. I can't believe we only scored a goal against him last game we lost to them.

If you miss a draft pick, that's life, but they missed on Andersson for the wrong reasons.
