Ovie keeps plugging. 22 in 38. Not quite a 50 pace (47.47) but pretty impressive for a guy who is turning 36, and we all know Ovie has historically had hot second halves.

No ROW for Boston even if they take the shootout- that tie breaker could feasibly end up mattering a lot the last two games of the season

Ugh, Buffalo was clearly the better team in OT which makes that loss hurt even more. Going to need them to help us out in their 5 games remaining against the Bs, though I remain skeptical.

Just checking in with the Flames to see how the bag-skating savant has been going for them:

14. The Flames have gone 5-9-0 under Darryl Sutter, seeing their expected goals rate drop by 1.6 percentage points as they’ve shifted even further towards a low-event style that doesn’t suit their roster. So… that coaching change didn’t exactly work, did it.

15. Across the board every core member of the Flames has been a disappointment under Sutter, mostly because the entire team has.”

16 Stats: Should Nashville trade Ekholm? Taylor Hall's value, and Jack Campbell

Stat courtesy of the Flyers board. They now have 7 losses by 5 or more goals in 42 fames. One game every six. For some reference we have 0 such games and they're 2 points behind us amazing.
