How many games did Kucherov play this season when the cap mattered? Sit down.
Where in the rule book does it say a player must play in at least one regular season game in order to be eligible to play in the playoffs? Take the L bro. If you notice other people aren’t defending your line of thinking, just take the L and move on.

I’m sure it’s been said a lot but the decision to replace the wordmark painting of Stanley cup playoffs and Stanley cup final inside the blue line with advertisements really takes something away. It’s small but it’s really noticeable to me

Again did the Devils break the rules when they signed Kovalchuk to that 17 year deal? No but they still ended up getting punished. Teams find creative ways to get around the cap. The loophole needs to be closed. Otherwise in 2 years there will be a team with a $120 million dollar payroll with an $81 Million dollar cap.

Man the Lightning are quick on the pp basically puck doesn’t stay on anyone’s stick for more than a millisecond. Montreal better stay out of the box

I didn’t know this was the New York Lightning board considering all these posters who defends these cheaters. Yes we all know Mcdonagh played here and we root for him, yada yada yada, but I will never root for the Tampa Bay Lightning, their smug coach and their cap circumventing ways, flame on.

If a team manages to skirt the cap by $40 f***ing million they deserve to do it.

All of this is nothing more than hyperbolic whining.

I don’t even f***ing like the Lightning and thinks it’s ridiculous the way everyone’s been crying about them.

I could care less if anyone agrees with me, all I’ve stated are facts, everyone else’s arguments are “they didn’t break any rules”. When the loophole is closed watch how fast these people change their stance.

It’s frustrating to turn on NBC and see American Ninja Warrior. I know it doesn’t really matter and I’m probably just the old man yelling at a cloud, but I find it a little ridiculous. It’s not some random game in the middle of the season, it’s game one of the SCF. I don’t get it.

The salary cap might be good for business, but it has completely ruined hockey discourse.

lol, i don’t care who wins b/c the Isles are out yet if fans want to point out the cap circumventing they’re entitled to it imo.

Those dismissing it out of, whatever, likely don’t understand the advantage Tampa has.

When they close the loophole therefore it will become a RULE. As of now it’s not a RULE. Hopefully the Rangers don’t find themselves in the same position in the future, I’d hate to see your song and dance then.

They knocked out the Islanders. If you wanna talk about cheating, how about the Canadians making up drafting rules. How many cups are tainted from that?
