Different columbus team, no panarin or bobbrovsky. Washington was still considered a conference final favorite with Tampa and Boston before the post season started.
no bob is a good thing for Columbus.

He needs to at least get to the Finals. Is Barzal in the same shoes?
according to cap friendly, barzal's max performance bonus is only $400k
Good. The ice is so much better thereSo the Toronto bubble has popped. Isles and Tampa going to Edmonton. Has the NHL explained why?
Every time I see your username I think you’re a Flyers fan lol
And here I thought it was from Winnie The Pooh. Oh bother!Oh because like Roo as in Giroux? Haha I never even thought of that. One of my many outside of hockey interests.
It's from the Streets of Rage Sega Genesis series if you're not familiar (and everyone here for that matter) with it.
Roo was a character in the third game a boxing kangaroo that if you beat up his handler a clown named Bruce you can add him to your group and play as him.
I always found it hilarious in this run down city in the war against drugs and gangs that these ex-cops are fighting here's a boxing kangaroo beating up organized crime and cyborgs.
They released Streets of Rage 4 earlier this year and in my group texts it was always "Yo where's Roo at? He back?" They sort of brought him back but he's a bartender now![]()
I feel like the disaster he left in Edmonton would give everyone that sour taste Neil Smith left in everyone's mouth.Chiarelli will keep getting chances in this league because he has a cup on his resume, and his pedigree and connections get him interviews.
For as far as hockey's come, it's still very much a good ol' boys club. That's not changing anytime soon.

Stamkos out for the ECF as well.
Sam and Joe will have the national radio call of the ECF for Westwood One. This might be the first time since their days together at FOX (1999) that they will have done a game that didn't include the Rangers.
Neil Smith is the polar opposite of Chiarelli. Chiarelli has a tight relationship with the league office and they keep pumping him to teams whenever there is an opening. Smith, not so much on either count. There's more to the Neil Smith story than anyone freely admits. Honestly, the way he's been treated by the league is very...interesting.
Cliff actually lives in Arizona. I think he is still doing a little scouting for the Leafs. I haven’t seen him for a couple of years but he used to sit right near me at Coyote games. He’s a cranky old guy but he did tip me off on the Wolski-Rozsival trade a few years ago.Even interviewing Chiarelli for a GM position is embarrassing to that franchise.
As much as I love a good train wreck, it would be disgusting to see him get another managerial job in the league. Why not give Jay Feaster or Cliff Fletcher a call while they're at it?
It took me forever to realize you changed from White Plains Batman. I liked that name a lot better![]()
