What about a Deer Hunter?

Right, to pretend that I would say half the things about Ferraro, Goodrow, or Kunin that I do on here if I had to face them every day at work, had a personal relationship with them, and depended on them to do my job would be disingenuous.I like Sheng, I think he does a pretty good job. I think like many journalists, they have personal relationships with the players and coaches and that can understandably make it hard to be strictly objective. He's privy to a lot more than he can actual report. I don't fault him for that, and don't want him to be Larry Brooks.
The JD drinking game: One beer each time he says "all that fun stuff" and one shot each time he says "player name> doing <player name> thingsDon't get me started on JD and various tics while talking or even listening. God love him, he's a passionate fan but it's makes Locked On a hard listen.

Commando was a formative movie in my child hood! No, he’s the f***ing bush behind them, of course he’s the deer. You’ve seen him skate, he looks like a baby deer out there half the time.
Gotcha!

PS - I’m just gonna keep posting Commando gifs until the mods make me stop.

My take is I like everyone
That Kyle (I think was his name) was annoying, but the Locked On podcast hasn’t been the same since he left. Can’t listen to JD alone. He’s fine with another host.I hate being critical of guys who are putting themselves out there, but I think JD would make an amazing producer - he has good ideas, good guests, good episode topics… but being a good producer and a good host are two very different things and I really appreciate his podcast but it’s been definitely hard to listen to sometimes.
He needs to just spend a summer taking some radio host/acting classes so we don’t have to hear “type of situation” said 300 times in 23 minutes. It’s a skill that needs practice.
It’s actually why I miss Brodie on the after show, he’s a very likable, very easy to listen to host. But he is also very trained and it’s apparent.

I gave up on JD without Kyle pretty damn fast so didn’t know he has had some guest hosts on. I didn’t like Kyle as an individual, but thought they meshed well together. It’s like with Teal Town - I don’t really like AJ, but he and the guy he does The Pucknologists with I like as a duo. They are moderately entertaining even though AJ can be an ass. Jules is a decent host when she isn’t drunk. Dana is annoying as hell.Oh I found Kyle unbearable. JD is a smart guy and has good content - I agree he’s much better with a co-host. He’s had a few folks on from other Locked On podcasts and it’s usually much better.
I mean, I appreciate the podcast and his work and all, don’t want to be ungrateful to the dude.
