I went on there. Never seen a fanbase turn on the coach so quickly LMAO. At the beginning of the year and during the regular season they thought he was great. What a year Philly is having! I had to listen to months of quarantine NHL radio talk about how Philly is everybody's Cup pick when play resumes. Team looks slow and outworked game in and game out. Also, he's got a fetish for Thompson and Hagg. Thompson is his Glass. See, that's why he will never win; he falls in love with certain players and no matter how bad they play, he keeps running them out there. The 2017 NYR beat Ottawa and head to the ECF if that gum chewing idiot doesn't continue to run Staal-Holden out at the end of games. He lost us that series.

did the same thing in Vancouver and on the Rangers. I guess some coaches will never learn.

Flyers fans mad because AV put Grant on the PP in an Elimination game :naughty::laugh::huh:

AV is an awful evaluator of talent

well they haven't had alot of drafts to stock pile depths and got good right away instead of accumulating top picks. plus they traded away a few top guys like you mentioned so not surprising...the majority of their team is 25-30 so I wouldn't call them all but with everyone so similar in age it will be interesting to see how that team looks in say 5 years

There really aren't that many guys on cap friendly at 25 or under--there is like 4 or 5. They have a bunch of 27's and 28's--these are guys who have probably peaked and will have anywhere between 4 to 7 years of very good to decent play left. They also have a number of guys already in their 30's. As currently constructed they're not an up and coming team.

It's true that they haven't had many drafts--the first one though they had three first rounders and traded two of them. The way they're going as long as they're towards the top of the standings they will have later picks. McPhee IMO had a pre-expansion plan--get a vet team together and see how far he could go with it---and it's been wildly successful. McPhee is use to vet teams and he's picked his two coaches with that in mind. It's pretty much a plan that in 8 to 10 years could leave Vegas not in a very good place. Well everyone goes to the not a very good place eventually--that's the eternal cycle of things.

Up 3-1 in Games i think Dallas took their foot off the gas vs a desperate and talented Avs team. I think Dallas is fully awake for Game 6 and ends it.

We'll see won't we? I'm enjoying this series so much that I simply don't want it too end.

Besides it being so much fun too watch except of course if your a Stars or Av's fan who are likely stressed too the gore, NMack looks like a man on a mission. And nothing like leading your team from 3-1 deficit too add to the legacy and put on your resume!

I think we all could use at least one of these series to get to a 7th game and IMO, this one has the best chance.

Go Av's!!

To his credit, the PP has been so bad that trying anything different may have yielded success.

Nate Thompson playing roughly the same amount of minutes as the top guys through regulation is a MUCH bigger issue than tossing a grinder on the PP.

But AV loves his bad depth guys.

The Flyers aren't a particularly heavy or tough team to play against. They got rolling a bit yesterday but I don't think they're going to win this series and IMO part of me wants the Islanders out even if it won't do our Carolina pick any good.

Hayes has been one of their better players. Giroux has not been looking good and none of Couturier, Voracek, Konecny or Laughton have been much better. They're being outworked regularly--the Isles have been buzzing their net frequently and their D hasn't been a whole lot of help stopping that either. The Flyers also have had the tendency against the Islanders to run out of gas in the 3rd period. That's a bad tendency and it's like we're waiting every night they play for that to happen and the Cizikas, Clutterbuck, Martin line are playing with a surprising amount of energy considering how old some of these guys are.

Coyotes meeting with Taylor Hall this week. If they can’t get close on a deal, expect his rights to be traded sooner than later.

I dunno...I get it, the guy is good, he's fast, skilled but I wouldn't want him on my team. For me he just doesn't have the "it factor" for a player who if we weren't dealing with Covid, would probably command 10 mill per for at least 5-6 years.

Hall is a 65-70 point guy who is perceived too be a 85-90 point guy which is pretty phenomenal that Hall can pull that magic trick off. Amazing how that one flukish BS Hart trophy year in Jersey(NMack should have won it) has memorized hockey executives around the league who control the purse strings.

Funny, you just know had this been 2003 and Sather still in charge, he'd for shit sure be a Ranger next season making $12 mill per...lol

Hard hard pass from me but someone will pay him and that team will likely be very dissapointed in the return they get.

I have heard that they have heard from at least six other teams already. The mess with the draft choices being taken from them has increased their desire to get him signed. No much reason for hope here right now.

This one is a bit vexing. Price isn't going anywhere and so Allen in return for a 3rd rounder to back Price up seems a tad steep. Hmmmm...Bergevin definitely does some head scratching moves. Allen isn't even all that good either as he's been a major disappointment for all the hype he was getting 5-6 years ago.

You know hopefully Gorton is on the horn with Bergevin right this minute inquiring about Domi and maybe just maybe he can catch Bergevin in one of giving moods and maybe we can get Domi for Scott Gomez.....oops I mean Brett Howden....hmmm...lol

I haven't even gone over too the Canadian board but I'm about too as this will be must read shit. And knowing them and their "love" for Bergevin, they are all going too be in a very foul mood at this move!

I'd be shocked if they weren't....this should be fun!...lol

I am just amazed at a move like this. With all the goalies avail this offseason to spend this kind of money on a back up and actually send a 3rd round pick back when you have a 10 million dollar starter. I mean just wow

They're spending 15 million on goaltending.

They have the space so I guess its an upgrade for them.

IF Allen 1 year away from UFA at 4+ is worth a mid 3rd, Geo should have decent value.
It's definitely not a great move, but that's the only way I can see that it makes any bit of sense for them

Well color me shocked....majority of Habs board like the move with a few exceptions who hate the deal saying for most part and I'm obviously paraphrasing:

Finally a solid backup for Price and is probably the best backup Price has ever had.

If next year is going too be an 82 game season, it's going to be very consolidated and so there's going to be more back too back's than ever before and so Allen will likely play 30 or so games

Allen's 4 mill is only on the books for one year

This is part of a bigger picture move as Price and his 10 mill are going too be dealt. This one is folly as very doubtful anyone would take on Prices salary but there other reasons kind of make sense now that I think about it.

I dunno after going over too their board, I can see some positives for the deal tho I likely wouldn't have done it.

Still I hope Gorton is on horn with Bergevin checking in on Domi!

Geo has to be worth 2 2nd's at this rate.

Keep Hank as the backup and send Geo packing GO GORTON!
