Claude Giroux being on the ice and men having their eyes gauged out, name a more iconic duo. Barzal got off lightly compared to Staal.

The Isles winning the Cup is pretty much the one thing that could ruin the high of winning the Draft lottery. Thankfully Philly has another game.

Us getting 1OA but the Isles winning the cup is some Twilight Zone, Monkley Paw type tragedy I would expect to see as a Ranger fan. Still think they have the steepest hills yet to climb so i'm not sweating it till they go up one game in the ECF.

Even if they did win, it would suck for them that they wouldn't be able to properly celebrate it.

The thing is...is anybody even taking this tournament as seriously as they would the real thing? They should just call it the Fugazi Cup.

Games like this where Vegas is missing that real elite talent up front. They've got a great system, great depth, but aside from Stone who's their top echelon guy? And even Stone isn't a real gamebreaker offensively. Plus they rely a ton on their d shooting from the point. They've had a ton of SOG on Demko but the high danger chances are lacking.

I went on there. Never seen a fanbase turn on the coach so quickly LMAO. At the beginning of the year and during the regular season they thought he was great. What a year Philly is having! I had to listen to months of quarantine NHL radio talk about how Philly is everybody's Cup pick when play resumes. Team looks slow and outworked game in and game out. Also, he's got a fetish for Thompson and Hagg. Thompson is his Glass. See, that's why he will never win; he falls in love with certain players and no matter how bad they play, he keeps running them out there. The 2017 NYR beat Ottawa and head to the ECF if that gum chewing idiot doesn't continue to run Staal-Holden out at the end of games. He lost us that series.

Yeah one thing I really noticed is how slow Philly are as a team.

Hoping Gorton and co. make the necessary changes this offseason for this team to take the next step and enter the playoffs, for real this time. Yea, Philly isn't a fast team, and that's the way AV loves to play. Giroux, JVR, Voracek, etc. They're not fast. I also noticed that if you forecheck their d hard as the Isles do to every team, they decide to play hot potato with the puck. They rely on Hart to save their bacon like crazy.

game 6's all around. Except for Boston lol. I say Colorado forces game 7 and then wins it. Flyers are not making it past game 6. And Vancouver might force game 7 but I still think Vegas takes the series eventually.

Great game from Demko, hell yes to getting 3 game sixes.

Yeah I'm with ya. Demko was a wall tonight. He really does have starting goalie calibre talent. Watching him alot this year and tonight doesn't totally shock me. But man...he was superb tonight.

I'd love it if Canucks could force a Game 7.

I'm with ya with the Avalanche as I agree...they take Game 6 tomorrow and than win it in 7.
With ya on the Islanders/Flyers as it would be shocking if Flyers figured out a way too force a Game 7....shocking!
I actually like the Canucks to force a Game 7. Something about that team...very resilient. Demko could be their lucky charm. Vegas tho will break their hearts in Game 7 and wait for Colorado too hopefully beat Dallas which would make for an awesome WCF.

Up 3-1 in Games i think Dallas took their foot off the gas vs a desperate and talented Avs team. I think Dallas is fully awake for Game 6 and ends it.

Who is in the net?

Coach has to make the tough call. I say Khudobin despite Bishop being the #1. I would go about it like the last game didn’t happen.

Win or lose, if he plays well in Game 6 i stick with Khudobin for Game 7. If he plays poorly i would say Bishop in Game 7.

Corey Pronman has Vegas as his 24th team in term of prospects and I have to say that I look at Vegas as a veteran and a heavy team. They are built for now more than they are for the future. That's not to say they don't have some very good prospects like Glass and Krebs etc. but they're not deep and that certainly wasn't helped by trading away Suzuki and Brannstrom. To me it's weird---that having only been in the league for 3 years they are what they are but basically their team is late 20's and 30's guys. Up until Vegas pretty much all expansion teams started off with lean years--Vegas's lean years will eventually come but they're not now.

well they haven't had alot of drafts to stock pile depths and got good right away instead of accumulating top picks. plus they traded away a few top guys like you mentioned so not surprising...the majority of their team is 25-30 so I wouldn't call them all but with everyone so similar in age it will be interesting to see how that team looks in say 5 years
