1. Rangers yay
2. Minnesota, Nashville fine, out west , teams don't matter, never draft high
3. Florida whatever, i always kind of feel bad for them and hope they don't fold/move
4. Winnipeg boo Canada
5. Edmonton and Toronto booo Canada plus they have enough high picks
6. Pittsburgh f*** Pitt

A Canadian team hasn't won the Cup since we did, and you're booing Canada? Weird, but whatever.

Honestly yea, if not the Rangers, then Minnesota. I feel like they’re such a whatever team I kinda forgot about them. I just realized their jerseys aren’t the ones they used when they had Boogaard(rip).

Even the Predators. Wouldn't hate it if it's the Predators. Wild, Predators or Jets. Anyone but the Penguins or Oilers, but also, please no Panthers or Maple Leafs.

Call me absolutely crazy, but I think both #12 seeds will beat the #1 seeds. I think the Canadiens will upset the Flyers (really bold prediction) and the Blackhawks will upset the Golden Knights.
Good lets hope then our Carolina pick has a chance of getting better (providing they lose before the ECF). Also if these Jackets play like this they could have a chance.

Or Pittsburgh. Even though they didn't play better than Montreal they finished 7th overall in the NHL in points percentage and they could get the first overall pick. I understand that the pandemic disrupted the season but I really think the league went overboard trying to keep as many teams as possible happy and at least have a chance at a) the 16-team playoffs or b) the lottery. The league played enough games before the shutdown to have fairly determined the 16 playoff teams in my opinion--there was no reason for the play-in round and the draft lottery eligible teams should have been the teams that didn't make that group of top 8 in each conference (so no Penguins in lottery and no Rangers in playoffs).
Not wanting the Penguins to win the lottery goes without saying. That would be devastating.

I actually liked in theory what the NHL was trying to do to keep as many teams happy as possible. It was actually very well thought-out and executed. However, in practice, it wasn’t perfect. Also I didn’t realize how much the break would affect a lot of these teams’ rhythms. I’m happy hockey is back, but man, some of these teams are not the same teams before the Covid break.

Hurricanes are red-hot and Bruins did not look good. Chara looks like crap. But yes, go Bruins!

If I was a Winnipeg fan I would feel like we deserved it since they were the placeholder team that made tomorrow possible. But hey if they miss by one then its gonna be us since we are slotted right behind them ;)

Zero goals on pp and columbus still won. amazing.
Also did Torts really say "this kid Foudy has balls?" haha. well said Torts. I hope JG was watching this series.

Idk about you guys but I thought Toronto played pretty well and just got really unlucky. 2 major fluke goals by Columbus , some great saves by Korpisalo/post on that Tavares chance. I wish the Rangers played like the Leafs did against Carolina, might have actually been a series worth watching.

Dubas is getting fired. Same script again this year. Too much $$$ on forwards can't get it done in the playoffs. Every game is a crap shoot with this type of a top heavy team with no defense. Leafs are gonna bring in an on old to find some solid old vets on D.

Staal for Nylander. Done deal. Start the paperwork now.

Problem with this TML loss is that, if they do win the lottery, they can now unload one of their high priced offensive superstars for depth/defense and likely not even miss a beat wrt goal scoring. They are probably the scariest team with Laf.

We all have Penguins PTSD, but that team just ain’t that good. I’ve told several Penguins fans that I will stop watching the NHL if they somehow manage to land the next Q produced generational talent, but honestly, that team has been on the down trend and I don’t know that Laf instantly vaults them into Cup favorite status.

Him going to Edmonton would be stupid, but it’ll be hard to care all that much. Could be fun watching those three wreck shit for awhile too, although I’d rather watch Laf wreck shit with Zibs and Kakko for a few years.
