by that arithmetic you have proven my point...the record is officially tied right now as we speak, because if the leafs win the cup next season (2021) then it will be 54 years since they last won a cup in 1967...your math has proven me correct

yeah, but with Covid we might not see a season until 2022. Cross your fingers.

We picked Kreider at 19, Miller at 15, Skjei at 28, Stepan at 51.

Also, Do 20-ish other teams have to improve their scouting since they missed on Pastrnak (in a draft where the Rangers did not have a first round pick, if I might add)?

and their is a reason why none of them are still with the team outside of Kreider

Actually I just realized that we're all wrong about the Leafs streak, and they are one season further behind in regards to Cup-less seasons because of the 2004-2005 season not existing. So in that case...

The Leafs are at 52 Cup-less seasons consecutively. So if they don't make the playoffs/are eliminated next season, they will tie the NYR record (53 consecutive Cup-less seasons), and then the following season (2021-22) they will surpass the NYR record if they don't make playoffs/get eliminated.

So yes, calendar years wise, it lines up as the same time duration. But actual seasons, which matters more, it doesn't.

are you saying 'their' (the scouting staff) is the reason none of those players are on the team; or, there is a reason none of those players are on the team, and that reason has something to do with the scouting staff/is something the scouting staff should have known about (assuming they weren't aware of the salary cap)?

Either way it's an odd argument

Eddie O roasting McDonagh for brain farts in the intermission
Which is pretty funny coming from a guy like Olczyk who always seems to be caught off guard when Pierre hits him with one of his "That was a great play by so-and-so what do you think Edzo?" and there's silence like Olczyk wasn't even watching the game.

I don’t think I’ve appreciated how good Seth Jones looks. He’s totally controlling play when he’s on the ice
