HF crapping itself b/c the Leafs suck. You just love to see it.

Imagine having Marner/Matthews/Tavares and all that talent and not being able to win a single playoff series lmao

pathetic. That team has got to have some deep seated issues
And getting shut out twice in a 5 game series with all that $ spent on 3 forwards. I love the rush by some fans to anoint their teams young stars as guaranteed franchise savrios destined to lead them to a Cup before they've accomplished anything in the postseason. At least with Crosby/Malkin they won a Cup in their 3rd/2nd seasons respectively to back up all the hype but for the Leafs it's been 4 straight first round exits (to be fair only 2 for Tavares).

What I do not like is that Toronto has a 12.5% chance of winning the lottery, especially after looking like the better team. It’s one thing if they completely sucked. Then them getting Lafreniere wouldn’t be so tragic. But looking pretty good in the playoffs AND getting the best player in the draft? Yikes

That’s right Keith Seth Jones is elite. Does everything at both ends of the ice for this team

God the Leafs and Oilers are such embarrassing franchises.

One has had 4 1st overall picks, plus Pulju and Drai in the top 5, has the two leading scorers in the NHL and has like one playoff appearance in McDavid‘s career so far. Embarrassingly unbalanced roster with no depth and not much in the system either.

The other has Matthews, Marner and Nylander all on the roster but for some reason goes out and adds Tavares, neglecting depth and defense and hasn’t won a playoff series in something like 16 years.

We get excited when we have a 28 year old Panarin and 27 year old Zibanejad having career years. Toronto has 4 talents near that level under the age of 30 (3 under 24) and Edmonton has the two top scorers in the world both under 25. It’s brutal.

1 Rangers 12.5 % yayyyy
2-5 Winnipeg, Minnesota, Nashville and Edmonton 50% fine with it, send him to the west.
6 Florida 12.5% meh, okay
7 Toronto 12.5%, no
8 Pittsburgh 12.5, hell no
Well said I would just flip Edmonton and Florida. Florida even with Laff doesn’t scare me. They can’t get out of their own way.

well all you need to know is what some of the oilers said after they lost. They said they showed more intensity against the flames in the warm up game than they did entire series vs Chicago. You need more than just talent to win. Working your ass off more than your opponent is a good start

Or Pittsburgh. Even though they didn't play better than Montreal they finished 7th overall in the NHL in points percentage and they could get the first overall pick. I understand that the pandemic disrupted the season but I really think the league went overboard trying to keep as many teams as possible happy and at least have a chance at a) the 16-team playoffs or b) the lottery. The league played enough games before the shutdown to have fairly determined the 16 playoff teams in my opinion--there was no reason for the play-in round and the draft lottery eligible teams should have been the teams that didn't make that group of top 8 in each conference (so no Penguins in lottery and no Rangers in playoffs).

1. Rangers yay
2. Minnesota, Nashville fine, out west , teams don't matter, never draft high
3. Florida whatever, i always kind of feel bad for them and hope they don't fold/move
4. Winnipeg boo Canada
5. Edmonton and Toronto booo Canada plus they have enough high picks

If it’s not the Rangers, I would like Florida to win it. I also wouldn’t mind it if Edmonton won, although that may make them TOO good. Other than that, agreed.

Having both Werenski and Jones is going to always keep the Blue Jackets competent

two Norris level defenseman
Very true and they’ve done well with the cards they were dealt. I’m happy for them. They went all out last year and showed balls at the TDL. Happy they rebounded this year. Good signing and drafting

Call me absolutely crazy, but I think both #12 seeds will beat the #1 seeds. I think the Canadiens will upset the Flyers (really bold prediction) and the Blackhawks will upset the Golden Knights.
