LOL @ Kevin Hayes snarky passive aggressive comments about the Rangers. Good luck in Philly.
I think that when these guys talk about "good lockerrom guys" they're just talking about their friends. Not 'objectively' good lockerrom guys. The new wave will be close and develop their own leaders too.

what did he say?

Quote from Hayes in an article on NHL.com: "They chose to get rid of me and [forward Jimmy] Vesey, that's their decision," the forward said prior to scoring in the Flyers' 4-1 preseason win against the Rangers at Wells Fargo Center on Saturday. "I'm sure it'll come back to them. We'll find out."

No, Kevin. We chose to pay a player that's 10x better than you and Vesey combined, 2.25M more than you and Vesey combined.

I wish Vesey would come back to you guys because he's godawful and I crave the power to wish him off the Sabres roster into a cornfield like in The Twilight Zone.

Good deal for Point and Tampa. Toronto fans likely crying right now.

Actually, it's quite clever for Point. He signs for 3y, on a backloaded contract, can sign a really high QO for his final RFA year and then test the market in free agency. This deal is better for Point long term than it is for Tampa. It's nice to see players finally figuring out the CBA.

Yup. It does help Tampa in the short term who are tight against the cap and have some raises due next season. But Point is gonna get paid a lot if he continues this play after 3 years.

Just to keep you guys in the loop (since the Isles have been a disaster this offseason with the schedule) the NYI-NYR games originally scheduled for Barclays have been moved to Nassau. Should at least make it more fun.
