Still wondering why KaDouche didn’t walk the handshake line with his pacifier

Yeah, but had we snuck past the Panthers, the rest would have benefited our boys massively. I think we would have beaten the Oilers with all those rest days.

We'll never know, but there are a ton of reasons to think otherwise.

Rangers were one of the worst teams at defending the rush this year (and have been almost every year since Torts left.) Edmonton feasts off the rush. They gave Florida a really tough time here and they're way better at it than the Rangers are.

If you look at how Florida scored against the Rangers at ES, almost all of it was off the rush. I know they had the sexy zone time numbers, but they really didn't create as much as they could have (or even should have) off of that.

Plus their PK was absolutely f***ing bonkers.

Oh wow so they aren't going to bring the Coyotes back? Stunning!
I think the narrative was he was gonna bid on some land at a state auction, build the arena, and if he did that all within 5 years, the NHL would allow him to reinstate his franchise (assuming an expansion draft). Since Arizona cancelled the land auction, there is no longer a tenable plan. But yes, no one is surprised. This just makes the inevitable, official.

Not sure I understand all the McDavid hate...the guy is simply the best player in the NHL and best we've seen since Gretzky/Lemiuex. He literally strapped his team on his back and brought them on the cusp of a SCF.

Correct, but he shouldnt have gotten Conn Smythe. Bettman special. It shouldnt go to a guy on the losing team who didnt have a point in Games 6 or 7. Just one man's opinion.

Idk if anyone else noticed but ESPN was telegraphing this for days. I needed 2 hands to count how many times Ray and Sean had to remind viewers it was the MVP "for the entire playoffs". We get it guys.

He should have taken the Conn Smythe. The last two times a player on the losing side won the Conn Smythe they went out to receive the trophy.

Giguere against the debbies...I'll never forget his birds nest playoff beard that must've been so uncomfortable. Immediately after the game he went & shaved it off completely by the time he was interviewed by the media.

No one on Florida deserved it. Nobody had a real standout playoff performance. Everyone was good.

This was the right call.
