I could argue they have some good, young talent that if everything breaks right would make them extremely dangerous. But with that Meier contract, they are going to be Leafs 2.0 at best. Nemec and L. Hughes are going to eat up their remaining cap once they are good enough to carry a D corps, and their over 35 vets are going to be asked to carry way too much of the defensive load when the Hughes brothers are absolved of responsibility because they scored 2 points (Nevermind being a combined -7 in the same game).

Was on Sanheim but little weak. Tortorella trying his best not to explode.

And Laughton scores again. lol
I thought Staal cause he was complaining about it.

I like this Forester kid. I wish Rangers had some legit young center top 6 potential prospects in the pipeline. Rangers should look for those at the draft this summer

It's kinda surreal to me that the majority of Flyer fans want to sell sell sell. Why not try to make the playoffs and garner some experience for your younger players? I am not saying buy but trading 3 or 4 guys off the roster while you are in third place?

I would add if I was the Flyers GM. But not overpay. They are overachieving at least this year. The playoffs can do wonders for them. I would not want to face them in the playoffs. They are well coached. Torts is one of the best in NHL History for a reason.

They do have a coach that gets the most out of them for sure but their goaltending might be an issue down the stretch. They are gonna have to hope Ersson holds up because Petersen stinks.

All dumb HF fans care about is young, exciting scoring forwards. See all the flowers thrown for the last couple years for Ottawa and Buffalo and them continuing to suck. Meanwhile Vegas, Boston and the Rangers just win a billion games and give meaningful seasons year after year with their boring ass groups.

Flyers don't have some god tier looking pipeline so it's sell sell sell like a 3% better chance 5 years from now is better than actual playoff games now.

Brain worms.

Kane with the overtime winner. Good thing we dodged that bullet…that dude’s washed.
It’s the most Ranger thing ever to give up picks for an injured, aging superstar, flame out in the first round, and then watch that superstar overcome incredible odds to become the first player to ever really recover from a super invasive surgical procedure.

The Flyers would give the Canes issues if they got league average goaltending

Kuch with the hundo already

I'm old enough to remember when the Art Ross winner didn't crack 90 for the whole season.

At the same time given the knowledge we had and our experience with him last year I sleep like a baby with this decision.

He didn’t really overcome incredible odds. I mean, we literally just watched the same scenario unfold with Jack Eichel. I get it. It was a different part of the body, but the same thing was said about Eichel.

Hagelin, Backstrom (WSH), and one other recent NHLer underwent this procedure and were ineffective. I’m no surgeon or sports medicine pro but Kane’s recovery does seem pretty remarkable.
