Stupid intro with the Carlton "Jump on it" song performed live, throwing Salmon over the players heads as they walk out. Just over the top nonsense. What happened?
I'm not feeling it. They look like convicts. Those Kraken jerseys, for my taste, is the best jersey of all time - next to the Whalers

Yup, Seattle improves on that template. I love the contrasting color of the logo, and the throwback to the metropolitans.

Why would NHL put this game on TNT if they want more exposure? I never understood the purpose of these outdoor winter classic games
Where else should it be? ABC has the bowl games which is more important. Why would NHL put this game on TNT if they want more exposure? I never understood the purpose of these outdoor winter classic games

TNT is also channel 3 on Spectrum which is a nice low channel number.
None of those channels hold any NHL rights aside from ABC who chose football. I’m not sure I understand the argument here, then.I think it's because you need cable/service package/streaming app in order to get it as opposed your standard channels (CBS, NBC, FOX, ABC, etc.)

How would it have made sense to put the Winter Classic on ABC over the college football playoffs? Those games are significantly more important and also more popular. That it's not a basic channel, and some streaming apps don't readily have it: Former Fubo user here.
There could have been the possibility of having it on prime time on ABC, unless the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a ratings hit for them.

TNT games are also on HBO Max which has good shit on it.
Idk I think they should give up and move it to NYE. New Year’s Day is dominated by college football. That's why I said prime time, because the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is on at 8.
Winter Classic last year was the least watched Winter Classic.
