If that happened to my Mites teams I might consider skating them like Herb Brooks in the Miracle. For that to happen to an NHL team is inexcusable. I don't care how "expected" a whistle is - and neither do they if they think they can smash a puck through a goalies glove for a goal before one.
Cooper has to be getting on a very short leash these days.

MTL goalie stopped the puck. Red light comes on indicating commercial break, so Tampa players circle around/go off, including goalie. But refs didn't blow whistle (ref even had whistle up to mouth), so MTL plays the puck and goes for the empty net, scoring while Tampa players were scrambling to get back and defend. Was reviewed and deemed to be a good goal.
In the end, the Tampa players should know better, and the in-arena DJ/person controlling the lights should know better. But somedays, you're just on auto-pilot and I get it. Happens to everyone.

Tampa had their decade of dominance. Two Cups and four total SCF appearances. Two additional ECF appearances. They probably have one more run in them if they can retool in the next 1-3 years.

I was just talking to some Icelanders fans and asking them how they can listen to this guy. In his mind the icelanders have never made a bad play, taken a penalty or done anything wrong ever. He is so unbelievably childish and biased. It also must be embarrassing for them to have to play on a TV network owned by their biggest rival.
This is what I see whenever I see the Vegas Golden Knights Winter Classic Jersey.
