I don't really watch the MSG coverage outside of gameplay (well most games I couldn't because they play at night lol), but once again watching Steve Valiquette interviewed on Real Kyper and Bourne makes me feel sad of what I'm missing out on. You better hope the Rangers are buying analytics from him, because everytime he's on you learn so much.

NHL is a joke. Does any other major sport have two different values for a game.
I'm not sure how they do scoring in MLS, but other sports are far less likely to end in a tie.

We could go back to ties, but I don't see what the big deal is. Every team plays by the same rules.

The value of a game is my contention.
If a team wins in regulation they are awarded 2 points. Total points awarded 2.
If a team wins in O/T they are awarded 2 points and the losing team is awarded 1 point. Total points awarded 3.
It just bush league for a major sport to have two different values for a regular season game.
