Did anyone see this on Saturday night?
Coaching does matter though. Look at us, look at Vancouver. They are clearly not getting enough of the roster defensively. Not all of it is on goaltending, which, granted, has been subpar as well. The cognitive dissonance on HF about Ottawa tickles me to no end.
- HF approved(tm) tear it down and suck forever rebuild
- Buncha skill guys that look good on rushes
- Locked them ALL up on long ass deals for market price money ASAP to the point they're capped out (???)
- Offseason champs 3 years in a row
- The future is BRIGHT
- Suck anyway
Obviously the problem is the coach. Never change.
The point is the problem is never any of the bulleted points.Coaching does matter though. Look at us, look at Vancouver. They are clearly not getting enough of the roster defensively. Not all of it is on goaltending, which, granted, has been subpar as well.
Yeah, but even with our bad coach , we were a 100 point team and made a deep playoff run.Coaching does matter though. Look at us, look at Vancouver. They are clearly not getting enough of the roster defensively. Not all of it is on goaltending, which, granted, has been subpar as well.
And a sure way to get fined, suspended, or just straight up benched. Don't make a mockery of the game. If the reffing sucks, it's really the league and GM meetings that need to fix it.Good. Guys should do it more.
Showing up the refs/league is probably the only way to start some change with the ridiculousness that are penalty calls (or lack thereof).
I hate Doughty but Dunn dove on that little net drive no? Comes across as an undisciplined child to me. I’d be pissed as a teammate.Good. Guys should do it more.

Inertia and loyalty from the league to the refs is going to keep this cycle going until something big, like an entire team throwing their sticks on the ice and going to the locker room during a game happens. And a sure way to get fined, suspended, or just straight up benched. Ah I see they fired Smith. Figured he was going to be next. I agree it's not his fault the roster is flawed So neither the head coach nor the GM make it to 2024. Impressive. The cognitive dissonance on HF about Ottawa tickles me to no end.

I posted something similar on Thursday or Friday when I watched him vs Philly. He also looks like he has zero interest in being out there.A lot of speculation going around on why Ovechkin can't score anymore.
When you're not actually an effective player, don't put any real effort into being one, and rely entirely on skill, life comes at you fast when skills deteriorate.
Patrick Kane says hello.
What are they 1-6 with Kane?Sens, Sabres and Wings. The holy triumvirate of "bro, this is gonna be their season for real this time".
Yeah, pretty sure they only got 1 win but haven't been keeping track. It's not ideal though. What are they 1-6 with Kane?
He's also -7 in 6 games.Yeah, pretty sure they only got 1 win but haven't been keeping track. It's not ideal though.
I think Ovechkin will eventually get hot at some point and score like 12 in 15. It might be after the New Year, or after the Trade Deadline when sometimes the pressure wears off and teams out of it begin to play very loose.A lot of speculation going around on why Ovechkin can't score anymore.

Watching the Ducks and Detroit game , glad the Rangers stayed away from Kane.
