He can’t get big money out of the gate, but there was a rumor going around a month or so ago that he told the Islanders he doesn’t want to play for them or to trade him or something

What I read was he didn't want to play for ELC money. He has no choice. He wants that KHL constant bigger check. I don't know, how long until he can hold out and become UFA, kinda like Radulov ?

There are only 35 NHL coaches.

Stop the re-treads already.

I agree that the NHL coaching merry-go-round is crazy, but it's very interesting to juxtapose this view point with the amount of people, just on this board, who continually lament the fact that we didn't hire an 'NHL coach' when we got Quinn.
The majority viewpoint seems to be that using a coach with experience, even if it got them nowhere, is better (maybe it's actually a 'safer' mindset?) than bringing in someone new and waiting for an adjustment.

Could be a problem with the ELC bonus’ because Lou notoriously won’t give out the max bonus stuff on ELC’s. And I’m not sure, I think since there’s no transfer agreement that they just hold his rights until they trade them. Radulov was different because he left while under contract and then had to come back and play for the Predators to finish that contract before he signed elsewhere

Rasmus Andersson, six-year, $27.3 million contract extension.
I guess if we want ADA for six, it'll have to be a $57.4 million contract? :dunno:

a 19 point, and a 20+ point (pace) season gets a 4.5M deal? jesus.

ADA just got an late Christmas present. what a comp.

his Avg TOI is 19:13, but that ranks 5th on the Flames (Giordano, Hanafin, Hamonic, Brodie). But yeah, strikes me as a bit of a reach (?)

looking at the trade and flames boards, they think he's a top 3 guy with top pairing potential but I think they just have the homer glasses on. I'm trying to think about this is terms of prime-time Marc Staal. we loved his first contract extension. Marc was coming off his best stat season in 2010-11, signed a 5 year $3.975M AAV. With inflation, if he can be a total shutdown guy, then I guess I could see this?

Another dirty Taylor Hall play. I don’t think there’s any question now that he’s been doing this shit on purpose. Especially in a 4-0 game with 7 mins left. That’s twice in a week or two.

I am always amazed when the teammates come over and just bark at the guy who just cheap shotted their teammate. Such a garbage play. I usually find Kadri to be a disgusting dirtbag but I appreciated his sticking up for his teammate after the lindgren hit. We could use some of that. Not goonery but everyone needs to stick up for each other.

We miss Lemieux. We need a few more of those that can play. Crouse or Cliffsrd from LA UGA 28 has cup experience, Greenway from the Wild, Giovani Smith from the Wings would be a good pickup. Grit size only 21
