I have no soft spot for Thornton, but it's hard not to cheer for an all-time great player to finally get his Cup.

Especially if he can be a contributing part of the team.

Not really. I am older than Joe.
I just don't agree with the sentiment that some player somehow now deserves
a Cup.
Note: I hated the melodrama around Ray Bourque "getting his Cup" way back when. Nauseating.

Game has been a disaster. I get swallowing the whistles in a tied game third period but they basically just shut penalties off from the get go.
