If Boston wins, we have had 1 team with just 1 cup in the last 10 years. Every other team has won at least 2 (CHI, PIT, BOS, LAK).

The NHL is no better than the NBA

Not sure if this is tongue in cheek or not, but the NHL is much, much, much, less predictable than the NBA.

Like... they are opposite ends of the spectrum. The best teams tend to win The Cup (huge surprise there), but there are always underdog teams that push the issue.

We literally had people in an uproar this year, because the first round winners were all 'random'. And now, because the better teams are rising to the top in subsequent rounds, the league is unbalanced and predictable?

I don't understand how either of those conclusions were reached.

I’ve traveled to six continents and met all kinds of fans, for most forms of organized and/or professional sports.

Boston-area fans are right up there with the most obnoxious and “pick a hand” worthy I’ve ever met.

I've experienced this with South PA/Jersey. I really dislike generalizing and stereotyping but sometimes where there's enough smoke, there really is a fire.

There are passionate fan bases, and then there's... whatever that is. Friends and family in the area and I grew up in NYC but summers spent at our (former) beach house down there. Even visiting in wealthy rural areas like Bucks County, New Hope, etc. during playoffs at any decent restaurant with a bar area, I'd keep my mouth shut about being a Rangers fan. Wasn't worth it. Lack of class comes in all shapes and sizes, and wealth. I've had some random good moments and fun chats but it's definitely NOT the norm. Once you see Eagles decals on every other car, that's your warning sign lol.

11 different teams have won the Stanley Cup since 2001

11 different NBA teams have won the O'Brien since 1980

Not saying hockey is doing great with it but basketball is on another planet.

Karlsson is doing his being a forward thing more than I recall seeing this playoffs. That could be a problem for the Blues, but I guess they have to counter EK's offensive thrusts and turn an EK pinch into a Blues breakout.

The Blues are going to have to reconsider their approach in the intermission, cuz they are not even in this game so far.

Really like the Sharks man. They’re so stacked up front. Just talent on talent. They don’t really have that “one guy” I guess but they have like three elite forwards among other high end complimentary pieces. Couture always steps it up in the postseason but Hertl and Meier are absolute terrifying players.

Anyone notice the framed Messier jersey in the ziprecruiter commercial
