They aren't beating Boston. There needs to be an asterisk next to San Jose’s first ever Stanley Cup
This is worse. The league is turning into a circus. First the Pavelski 5min major gaffe against LV. And now this? Who did SJ pay off?
I thought all scoring plays were reviewed by TorontoI don't blame the officiating, they're human and going to miss certain things (especially at actual speed)
This is all about having all scoring plays reviewed by Toronto to ensure its a good goal. Especially when the stakes are this high.
It's a very easy fix, yet the NHL has a glaring hole that has yet to be fixed.
It will be for next year, and it's about goddamn time.

Most likely, they will be acknowledged by their peers and masters for their handling the 'challenge' (gotta love that overused word) of a playoff game, claps on the back and talk of bonuses.Refs blew three calls, puck over the glass, headshot to Braun and that hand pass. Brutal night for them. They assured this is their last series.
This one apparently "wasn't reviewable" for whatever reason.
Video review has to be available in order to rectify that horrible lack of on-ice officiating that allowed that game winning goal. It’s not reviewable because it didn’t lead directly to a goal.
Here’s my issue with video review, where does it end? It’s the same **** with offsides reviews. We can go back 45 seconds after a team has had a dominating shift and scores and see if the guys skate is off the ice by a millimeter. In this case, the hand pass wasn’t directly to the goal scorer but to another player who set the goal up. So if this is reviewable, is a hand pass 10 seconds before the goal allowed to be reviewed? What about 20?
Honestly, we need less video review and better officiating. Because with calls like this, you open up Pandora’s box in terms of what’s reviewed. Yeah, the Blues got ****ed but where do you draw the line when it comes to things like this?
