3-0, .947 SV%, 1.56 GAA
Not bad so far.
Still not as good as this guy...

any NHL goalie can put up numbers like this in 3 games against an anemic offense with a 1st line and 3 4th lines. (the Islanders)
Really surprised that wasn’t reviewed.
Couldve sworn that puck was in on that Benn wraparound. Shocked they didnt take a closer look at that.
Bennington was shaking his head and looked visibly pissed right after, he probably thought it was in and the game was over.
But yeah Benn was garbage the entire series. He looked completely outmatched and intimidated.
Is Mrazek still hurt?
because if he is, I seriously doubt McIllhenneys(sp?) ability to be serviceable over a full series
Yet again, the NHL proves what a joke it really is. I'm 99% certain that puck was over the line. Even if it wasn't, how did the officials in Toronto not stop play to at least look at it.
Other than Bishop, Dallas didn't deserve to win, but they still have a pretty strong argument that they actually won the game.
He is an inconsistent career backup. 2.5 games doesn't change that. I will say though that if anybody has the defense to mask a mediocre goaltender, Its the Canes.Mrazek was 5-3, .913 SV%, 2.22 GAA until he got hurt. Only played 6 more games than McElhinney. I'd say your assumption that he's not serviceable over the course of a whole series is a bit unfounded.
Carolina is a solid team, they have something going on right now. I wouldn't sleep on them and their speed.
Brodeur?
Wow, you're making a lot of assumptions like being a perrenial 50-60 point player in the best league in the world is a bad thing. Like honing your game to be more rounded is a bad thing. The associations are more about a player with a jumbo contract who isn't able to live up to his contract. Rick Nash was a great Ranger. He just wasn't the Rick Nash we thought or hoped we'd get but we got him in a great deal. Almost everyone agrees if his cap was like $5.75M he'd be exactly the player his contract made him out to be.As if Rick Nash is some kind of poster-child of what a player in decline is.
Players have always declined. Why attach Rick Nash's name to decline as if he was the first player ever to be less productive in the latter half of his career than in the first half?
Stop picking up players in the latter half of their career and expecting first half results.
I think the Rangers understand that chasing trailing results is a loser's game.
Just leave the fish at center ice and score on the empty netI would snipe top right corner on this guy. He's leaving a little bit of daylight there.
Or bribe him with fish to let me sneak the puck past him.
Wait, St. Louis was practically dead last in early Jan?!
Had no clue they were that bad then.
When did Garth Snow come out of retirement?
Could use a nice bounce back with a Colorado win tonight.
Evidently, not this guy...any NHL goalie can put up numbers like this in 3 games against an anemic offense with a 1st line and 3 4th lines. (the Islanders)
You mean that guy who has a 50% stanley cup success rate?Evidently, not this guy...

Not going to lie, I am still grumpy.
The 4 hours of sleep isn't helping much either.
