At least we'd know the fate prior.

Its the biggest game in Columbus in years. Nash's return and the playoff battle.

Ill be shocked if Bobrovsky sits.

And Jacket fans everywhere will be pissed beyond belief. Bob is a work horse-I think he played all (or maybe sat one) in our 19-5-5 finish last year.

He'll be there. Looking forward to what I hope is a prequel to a great playoff series (with the first game being played in Nationwide Arena :)

Hemsky goal last night, beauty, just imagine if he could do that more often?

Ryan Johansen scored the GWG his 27th goal this season and had his first fight last night, what an absolute stud at Center.

Michael Raffl scored his 9th goal for the Flyers. Who ? Undrafted FA, has 20 points in the flyers last 40 games.

Mikael Granlund scored last night for Minny, he has 14 pts in his last 15 games.

Detroits Nyquist scored his 20th, Tatar scored his 15th. How do they do it w/o high draft picks? Is it magic? Luck? International conspiracy ??

Kuznetsov had an assist on Joel Wards 22nd goal of the season. He doesn't have a goal yet but has 5 points in his 6 games, 5 points coming in 4 games.

they find talent that fits their system. if the Rangers drafted these type of players, im sure they would have a much better team and much more depth...

Drafting is a crapshoot, Wings are just lucky :sarcasm:

The two guys tied for the team lead in points were ranger draft picks/rangers unsigned FA
Our top defenseman played one year in our minor league system and never for anyone else.
Our next two best defenseman were ranger draft picks/UFA
Our second leading goal scorer was a Ranger draft pick.
And our 8th leading point scorer was a Ranger draft pick (Hagelin).

We can't develop young players though.

Perhaps you misquoted me and meant to quote someone else, because that's not what I said at all. Where did I say we can't develop young players?

I've seen many people suggest that drafting is a crapshoot, but Detroit disproves this notion by consistently drafting well beyond the first round - Fedorov, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, Holmstrom, Zetterberg, etc. That was the point I was trying to make, you can direct your ire elsewhere.

But that's not necesarily true. What you have to prove is that Detroit drafts significantly better than would be expected in a random sample of a league with 30 teams. If you imagine the case where in the 5th/6th/7th round teams picked player names out of a hat - and didn't announce this publically - you would still find that several teams late round drafts look much much better than others and declare them to be great at drafting. Of course given the small sample of picks (Say round 5-7 of the last 10 years is just on average 30 players a team) every team isn't going to develop exactly maybe 2 NHL players. Some will get 0. Some might even get 5. Some might only get 1 but maybe it's a Lundqvist type player.

Well, I don't really have the time or patience to prove that, but I don't think I'm going out on a limb by saying that the European scouting for the Red Wings has been pretty darn good for some time. Their scouting department deserves some credit here, it's not all luck. And I'm still not sure what I said in my initial post to insinuate that we can't develop young players...

The Montreal ‪#‎Canadiens‬ have announced that F Brandon Prust will miss the remainder of the ‪#‎NHL‬ regular season with an upper-body injury.

Kid got to meet the Chicago media today

its a shame that Glen Sather is still in 1986. can the Rangers get a young GM.

i dont think its a coincidence that both old GMs. Glen Sather and Lou Lamoriello do not know how to build a organization in the modern era of the NHL :amazed:

Why is everybody complaining about prospects from teams that we're better than? I bet you Detroit would ****ing kill for a Derek Stepan, and the Caps would kill for a Marc Staal. If Lindberg, Fast and JT Miller were on other teams you guys would find a way to complain about the Rangers missing out on underrated or tough, gritty Americans.

Or hell, even Zuke. 29 other teams in the league wish they signed Zuke now. But people here won't acknowledge that, instead ******** on the team at all costs.

The hatred against the Rangers on the ****ing Rangers board is ridiculous sometimes.

edit- Forgot we traded for Lindberg. The point still remains. The Rangers have acquired young talent for bad players in McD, a superstar, and Lindberg, leading the AHL team in scoring in his first year in NA, but we're gonna complain about Tomas Tatar?

well if Lindberg was really good at this time, im sure the Rangers would have called him up by now. i bet he is trade bait for another overpaid player.... :amazed:
