If I was Tampa I wouldn't change anything. Wouldn't be the first time a team suffered a horrendous loss only to come back the following year with vengeance. Think Virginia in college ball.

Totally agree with you ..Tampa is still stacked. I'll give a hockey example. Most long time Ranger fans like me recall as I was in HS at the time, that we beat the heavily and I do mean heavily favored Islanders in 1979 in the ECF as we finished 25 points behind and had no business beating them but we did in glorious fashion in 6 games.

Though it wasn't a sweep and it was in 6 games, it was a brutal and humiliating defeat for the Islanders but they were stacked and as we all know the next year, they won the first of their 4 straight Cups beginning the year after they suffered the humiliating defeat to us. So yeah, wouldn't surprise me in the least if the Lightning use this humiliation that occured getting swept and and it fuels them.

Maroon has been very good this series. He knows his role and goes into the corners, mucks it up on the boards and can dish the puck too.

Good point but the Isles also added Goring as a key piece. Wouldn’t have won without him. Tampa needs something too. Can’t just stand pat.

Just recorded a 1-min loop of Yandle talking in case I have trouble sleeping. Do they screen test these guys to be sure they don’t cause mass narcolepsy while speaking???

Tampa has kind of been on the precipice for half a decade now.

The closest recent epic collapse I can think of is Boston blowing a 3-0 lead and then coming back to win the next year.

We'll see how they respond, but I haven't gotten the right vibes from the core of the Tampa group for a while now. They shouldn't rip it down and rebuild it, but I do think some pretty major changes are in order.

I asked earlier but it likely got lost in all the excitement of what was happening with Jackets sweep but does this go down as THE most humiliating playoff defeat in history? I'm going to venture yes as only things that comes close top of my head is when Kings beat Oilers in '82 playoffs as Oilers were 48 points better. And as I mentioned, even our Rangers beating the Islanders in '79 ECF as they had I think the Isles had 25 more points than us was pretty damn humiliating....thoughts?
