This game roared by me. Can't believe it is OT
First time I even stopped to check Golden Knights - Sharks.
Looks like another fruitless season for San Jose.

Friggen Mark Stone is carrying my playoff pool teams ass as he now has 10 points...amazing. He's been incredible as has the rest of his line with Stastny and Pacioretty.
Guy is a complete player. Vegas should be the favorites to win the cup if healthy. That entire line was not there for their cup run last year.

Pretty deep roster for Hayes to break into. I guess if he took off like a rocket he would move up, but it seems like a good fit for him IMO. Boost for a playoff push addition. I wonder what his future is there.
Read some posts lately a few folks thinking about getting him back on NYR. I think I have to think further on that, but first thought is no. More info than you asked for, I realize.

All good Trib...you make some good points and it seems like you and I are on same page. I'm not sure I really want him back to be honest. I like him don't get me wrong and do like his game as it elevated this season but I think he's very replaceable with some of the uber talent we've now accumulated. The Kakko addition is pretty much the clincher for me that we really don't need to bring Hayes back....agree?

You have to faith in the plan, with some validation of course. Like you say, a top prospect that is NHL ready means players get pushed down (good thing) which would also logically infer that there is no place for an established bottom six (able to fill in higher) center probably looking for his first payday with term.
Nothing nicer than some prospects fighting for a spot to fill in those roles. We have Lias and I am sure he will be there.

I think I agree with you. Of all the team still standing and we could pick one team to win the Cup with our lives dependent on them winning, I think I'd be most confident in Vegas with the Caps a distant second.

Gord Miller is ****ing great.

Agreed. You know who else is phenomenal and no one ever mentions? The lead Canes guy...John Forsland I believe is his name. I've been a fan boy of his ever since I started to subscribe to NHL Center Ice 15 years ago or so. He did the Jackets/Lightening series and he is severely underrated and he would be my choice to replace Doc if and when he ever drops the mic for good not that I want that to happen...just sayin...

f***, I totally forgot where Pacioretty ended up. He was probably so damned happy to escape from les canadiennes pressure cooker. I used to hate him but grew to respect him a lot.

My only issue with Forslund is that we're like 2-19 in Rangers playoff games he calls.

Which is ironic considering how hard we own the Hurricanes.

Was not aware of this horrendous record with Forslund doing our game. Wow..that is friggen nuts.

Even now becoming aware of this wacko stat, I still love the way he calls a game. Besides by time we make the playoffs again(next year is my guess as we will as a 7-8 bubble team), we are due for some Forslund love as it's bound to change...

Well, don't quote me on that exact number, but we're BAD with Forslund calling our playoff games.

But you're right. We're due.
