Around the NHL: Part Playoffs!

Why? To be honest, my hatred for ****sburgh far exceeds my hatred of the Islanders which goes back to their cup run from 80-83. The last 10+ years or so, my hatred has morphed into more of a dislike of them and I even feel sorry that they were forced to move from the Nassau Coliseum to Barclay Center because of the ******** politics in Hempstead.
They belong out there playing in a renovated Coliseum and for my money, that's still the best place to watch a hockey game hands down because every fan is close to the action, the sitelines are terrific, it doesn't take 1/2 hour to get out of the building after the game and it's devoid of all the nonsensical corporate ******** that permeates the Garden thanks to a ***** of an owner who doesn't give a crap about the hockey team per say.

Get the picture now??
I don't see what the second part has to do with my post. As for your first couple of sentences, are you from Long Island or do you deal with these bandwagoners on a daily basis? Pittsburgh is annoying, and they're whiners, but their fans don't exactly brag about making the playoffs in a shortened season in a bad conference. I also don't have to hear their **** if I don't want to. I don't know any actual Penguins fans.

True, I meant relatively speaking...the Pens offense is capable of generating some pretty unstoppable chances - I have seen goalies play great games and give up 5 and I've seen goalies play poorly and give up 1 or 2. I can, however, only go based on limited highlights and word-of-mouth as I have not had a chance to watch the games in full.
In watching all 4 games I can tell you Nabokov looks every bit as bad as that GAA

Ottawa's team is very likable. It's hard not to root for them, considering the crap they had to go through and the way they made the play-offs with half their AHL roster making serious minutes in the NHL. They play one of our fierce rivals in Montreal this round, so I am happy when Ottawa does well.

The Isles have some very gifted players in Tavares, Moulson and Okposo. They lost Parenteau, but seem to be a more balanced team because of it. I will never be able to cheer for them when they play in a Cup final, but when playing the Penguins, it's almost impossible not to root for them

i can see the Islanders upsetting the Penguins.. its highly unlikely, but that would be great if that happened..

I mean how the actual **** can you go for the big check in that situation. Baffles me.

Go Wings Go
May old age and treachery reign supreme.

I like the Ducks too, especially Selanne, but I want Detroit to go to round 2.

Holy crap Jeff Cater.

I always thought Mike Richards was the superior player, but Carter may have been underrated all those years.

Winnik just got a 5 min major in the Det-Ana game. Brutal boarding on Cleary from behind. Cleary injured. Det up 2-1, big chance to go up even more.

EDIT: Also a good chance to see what a real PP looks like. ;)

Winnik made a bad choice. There was no reason to pile drive Cleary into the boards like that.
I hate seeing big huge slabs of meat on skates do that crap.
