holy melt down in Pittsburgh land. last i heard the series was tied up 2-2. guess those fans can't handle a little adversity. even moderators are cursing and claiming the series is over. hysterical.

I still think Pitt will win the series. Am I the only one that's upset about the Fish winning ?
Darn, I hate Okposo................and Fleury.:naughty:

Reposting on new page since this needs love

i tell ya, Hamonic had his number all night long. that Pitt/NYI series just got reaaaaaaaaally interesting.

You do know if the Isles win the series and the Rangers lose, just how unbearable it will be? Remember when the Jets made the conference title games and how obnoxious they were to Giant fans? You want that to happen?

This is the only thing holding me back from fully enjoying this Penguin meltdown. It will be unbearable if the Rangers are out and the Islanders are moving on. Not because of the team, but because of the mongo fans that will think its 1982 all over again.

isles fans talking about how horrible Fluery has been defensivly, which i totally agree with and expected but if Nabokov hasn't exactly been stellar himself if he would stay in his crease instead of playing 5 feet out on every time the pens enter the zone he have at least 4 less goals, and it'd making knocking off the pens that much easier.

i done like the isles from a rivalry standpoint, but i loathe the pens and everything about their franchise and existence and would love nothing more than for the isles to knock them off. Macdonald is a real loss for them

i also think its hilarious how habs fans are blaming the refs, boo hoo the refs aren't on their side anymore like they always are in the regular season. The habs and pens are two teams that seemingly always get the calls to go their way the pens more then the habs, but the habs especially at home.

VAN is 2-12 in their last 14 playoff games after being up 2-0 in the 2011 finals. Lost in 7. 1-4. Lost in 5 to LA. 1-4. Swept by SJ. 0-4. 2-12. They haven't gotten many goals. The Canucks have $64M committed for next season.

Lol at these islanders bandwagoners. Their arena has been empty since 2007. Now all of a sudden they're apparently the loudest crowd in the playoffs? Lol, that's just too funny.

That's always been Nabokov's style, as a way to compensate for his smaller stature he has a tendency to play the shooter over-aggressively.

Gionta will undergo bicep surgery on Friday and obviously done for the season @hockeynight This was initially reported by @KevinWeekes

Gionta done for the season.

Anyone remember that big off-season Montreal had? Gomez. Gionta. Cammelerri.

It was an awesome off season, ESPECIALLY the Gomez trade since they wouldn't have been able to sign the other guys otherwise.

All counterarguments are moot because ECF.

Sedins to NY? :sarcasm:

The Sedins are basically the perfect Torts players on offense, they are probably the best players in the world playing below the opposition's goal line.

Imagine a Sedin-Sedin-Hagelin line, it would be magnificent. Hags initializes possession down low and then the twins go to town. Callahan would also be great on that line if he could dislodge his head from his rectal canal.

Same here. Never thought I'd find myself rooting for the Isles.

My cousin Mike(he posts over on the Isles board) grew up in Westbury LI, he's the only Isles fan in the family and the first guy I ever played street hockey with in 1979. He was a teenager throughout the Isles dynasty, now he's in his forties and enjoying playoff hockey again like he's a kid. I'm rooting for those bums until we meet them in the Conference finals ;)

Screw the Isles. Pens have no shot at winning the Cup. Let them beat the Isles then get mauled by Ottawa.

I can't believe Rangers fans are rooting for the Islanders.
