Well...they better soon start winning some games or likely Jarmo and Torts will both be gone if they miss the playoffs . Those Pen games this week will be a test as to who can turn the other cheek the most times . The retaliatory calls will kill one of them for sure and one has to figure the Pens will always be the darling of the officials . Maybe they have their own ref lined up for at least one game....the ref that allows them to have garner 80% of the possible points which was on here a couple of weeks after the Ranger/Pen game . I would not be mad if Dubi was to bang Cindy around some ....I probably would enjoy it .

Yeah the clock could be ticking on Jarmo and Tortorella. Columbus could look VERY different next season if they lose all those free agents. I didn't think of the "trying to save his job" angle for Jarmo with those deadline acquisitions.

After this season, I feel like the Torts window for Columbus will have closed.

Unfortunately I think SJ would spank Dallas (on paper anyway). All it takes is for Bishop to get hot and for SJ to pull one of their patented choke jobs and things could get interesting.
And you know what? If a series like that does end up going 5, then fine. They wear me out with the constant wars.

The NHL is notoriously awful with this stuff. Have been for decades.

Having worked with and around many in the league, the only thing that might change something is if someone dies on the ice.

Over the years we’ve seen players concussed, driven head first into the ice, fingers chopped off, etc.

At this point I am sadly convinced that it would take someone getting killed, and only after a subsequent lawsuit and PR nightmare.

I don't follow

I have Lehner in fantasy. He gives up 4 goals to Ottawa then gets injured, and Greiss comes in and wins in a shootout. Thanks for f***in nothing.

Today, I had some time to kill with my flight back to Europe at 10:30 PM, so my friend suggested to go to the Devils game. 3 PM puck drop, why not? So I bought tickets for her and me, and we went to NJ. At the game, I was trying to get a hard ticket for my collection but I had no luck at all. These days, it's easier to get a law degree from Harvard, than to get a hard copy ticket at an NHL game. My friend then approached a guy in a suit who was super friendly. Started talking, and he was immediately offering to help. Turns out it was the owner of the Devils. My friend told him I flew in all the way from Austria. So he responds "let me give you my email address, send me your contact details and I'll take care of it"

I just had a conversation over email with the owner of an NHL franchise

I'm at JFK now to fly home. This weekend has been full of surprises!

Fast forward 4 weeks and this lands on my desk:

He actually came through and sent me a hard ticket for my collection!

I believe that was around the time I wanted to extend Hayes and Zucc.

It’s ok. I’ve also advocated against signing Panarin in the past, yet all day yesterday I was pushing for it. Not every single one of the positions I take on a given day represents my ultimate opinion. Sometimes it’s devil’s advocate, sometimes it’s stretching out in ambiguity, sometimes it’s hitting back against opinions that are unjustifiably strong.

Well, I’ll sheepishly admit I was just joking about the Hayes/Zucc thing.

I’ve been against a good number of those scenarios and proposals for a while as well.

Went to the Devils Jackets game last night and good lord did Columbus look horrendous. One of the most boring games I have ever been to. Columbus had 18 shots at the end of regulation against a depleted devils team. I cant believe they mortgaged the draft for this
