There greatest hope is to find a squeeze around NJ and Anaheim to improve their chances at moving up further.

Ottawa is 13 points worse than us lmfao

No reason we can't end up in the 5th or 6th spot...which will become 6 or 7 after someone leapfrogs us in the lottery. Should be able to snag a good one there.

Again, I'm more concerned with the Rangers all of a sudden gaining points and passing teams like Vancouver, Edmonton and Florida. If they would finish below those three teams, that's a good spot. That's #7, assuming no one jumps up. Perhaps they get lucky and Chicago passes them for #6.

All of the sudden? They've been playing .500 hockey for like 2 months.

Exactly, and now we have 2 fewer top-6 guys, and the goaltending came back down to earth.

The only improvement we've seen is DeAngelo in the middle of breaking out (still not there yet), and a couple of the 3rd line guys moving into a higher tier of 3rd line player... There's minimal positives to this team as currently constructed otherwise.

Last night it was Anaheim losing in the final minute after being up by 1 now its Florida.

This is without Tampa’s 1st obviously.

I love how Quinn doesn't play favorites. Jon Cooper does and it's going to cost him a cup if he doesn't adjust. So glad they got shut out last night by Minny.

Well well well, Murray (and Sid) getting hot and now the Pens look terrifying.

I was told they’re “done” though

It's a testament to what having elite talent does to a team. Go into the playoffs playing well and you're a threat with a gamebreaker on the ice for 2/3 of the game.

The Avs having the worst season possible a few years ago and not getting the top pick was an injustice that Ottawa could not let stand!

Their unyielding loyalty to Sakic and Sherman is admirable, if not fatally flawed.

It almost seems like they feel compelled to cement their role as Robin to Edmonton’s Batman when it comes to draft day and development ineptitude.
