Big games tonight!
  • Detroit Vs Buffalo (Wings in OT)
  • Los Angels Vs Vancouver (Kings)
Detroit would be 3 points behind the Rangers with 5 games remaining. Kings would be 5 points back with 5 games remaining.

Also if the Canes get a point tonight and the Habs win, Philly will be eliminated from the playoffs.

Hope the Jets lose tonight as well.

For me, I'd prefer Buffalo win in OT and Vancouver win

The Rangers desperately need the teams just above them to separate. Then they can hope for the teams underneath to surpass them.

I'm VERY worried about Buffalo and Vancouver has already played one more game and only has 3 more points

You guys are funny to think that you'll out-tank tanking pros like the Buffalo Sabres. You probably believe in Santa Claus, too. Even worse than lacking talent, they're quitters.

You don't want Detroit to win tonight. If they do, you're probably finishing ahead of Buffalo - NYR finishing with more points, that is, as it's easy to forget what "finishing ahead" means when you're in Tank Wars. If the Sabres don't win tonight, they're probably not scraping out another point until April 4 (Game 81), at the earliest.

Sabres win in regulation

Columbus win against the Habs. Huge game. Columbus is 2 points behind the Habs for the 2nd wildcard. The Rangers are playing Columbus next Friday. Last home game. You want Columbus to be in the mix for a playoff spot. That becomes a playoff game for Columbus.

Islanders win in regulation against Winnipeg. The Rangers don't want Winnipeg to win the Central division. Nashville or the Blues.

Vancouver win against LA.

Root for Chicago.

Edmonton and Dallas. Three point game. The Stars magic number is 5 points for clinching a playoff spot. Arizona is currently 9th. Zuccarello is at 96%. Not there yet.

How the **** can you have 2 players crack 100 points and another player close to PPG and still be in bottom-10.

Two superstars and another good one in RNH.

After those guys the forward corps has one guy above 30 points.

f***ing bananas.

Bingo!!! At the 5 slot we have a decent chance of winning the lottery or top 3. Having Vancouver and Buffalo fall would be devastating. They need to win. We can't worry about the Red Wings and Kings. Let them lose

Almost want Dallas to fall to that second wild card but I don't see that happening. They would beat Calgary or make a very good series of it. Let's hope Bishop is healthy and they can knock off most likely Winnipeg in round 1

Buffalo losing to DET already... I had no real reason to hate them before, but they are definitely on my sh*t list now.

..a home game too.

Hope you guys are watching this playoff game between Montreal and Columbus. 2nd period intensity being ratcheted up

The Sabres have quit on Housley but I didn't realize how dysfunctional the Pegulas' ownership has been. It's a bad situation in Buffalo. They don't have a president of hockey operations.

The Pegulas should have had a president of hockey a long time ago. Enough of the Ted Blacks and Russ Brandons of the world. But they got spooked when Terry Pegula hired Pat LaFontaine in November 2013, and Kim Pegula ran him out before Easter the following spring in some sort of warped power struggle that's never been fully explained.

Of course, there's never much of an explanation from Kim Pegula for the litany of people she's fired with her two teams or at Pegula Sports and Entertainment, which has long reeked of a frat house/soap opera mentality while the bosses live mostly in Boca Raton, Fla., and try to run things via Skype and video conferencing.

Yet another sign of how backwards the Pegulas have things. They should be running the business and staying away from the teams.

Mike Harrington: It should be obvious to Pegulas what to do with Sabres

2nd period has been all Columbus - Habs fortunate to be down by only one.
agreed. they have been physical and pouncing on guys like Mete on defense.
I know I'm jumping 10 steps ahead but if columbus gets in they will most likely as a WC2 and play the Lightning. That shouldn't be a walk in the park for the presidents trophy winner.

Anyone that plays physically against the Lightning has a chance. Columbus and the Caps won't be easy for TB to play against.

I wanna see the Lightning win for that extra first rounder but yeah wash and Columbus could match up well. Of course bob would have to steal a game or two

Buffalo defense and goaltending comical. now 4-2. so when does buffalo's schedule get easy so they can start accumulating some points?
