The Wings play NJ tomorrow night. It’s conceivable that by the end of the night tomorrow they could be one point back of the Rangers.

After NJ tomorrow night the Wings schedule is Boston-Pit-Pit-Buffalo

I’m not sure Pit will be playing all of their guys in that second game. Especially if the Isles lose tonight

ok if you wanna give them that win fine but wouldn't it be better if the Devils won that game for us? they have a slight chance of passing us but way better than the wings. Also if you wanna give them the win tomorrow fine but then they have boston and pitt twice.

It's going to be tough. We're Ottawa bad but we'd pretty much have to lose out in order to make that happen.

They'd have to win both of those and pick up at least 2 additional points the rest of the way to make it possible. As much as I'd love to believe it, I don't think this team will lose out.

The 3 games after tomorrow are crucial, specifically the one in Philly since they will be on the tail end of b2b's.

The game vs NJ will be our 3rd in 4 and I can see them being motivated enough to try and take that one as its not only their home finale, but they've also been the Rangers' bitch this year.

Ottawa game is anyone's guess. They're a tire fire, but so are we. I'd feel better if that game were in Ottawa.

CBJ and Pittsburgh will have something to play for.

I honestly can't tell if you're joking anymore, but we have like 2 wins in the last 15 games. They're tanking prowess is on another level right now

We aren't going to lose every game... this isn't the NBA where you can go on 20 game losing streaks like the Knicks. Just be happy we didn't continue to win
 
ya’ll should keep in that we have the tiebreaker - we have less ROWs than every team. That won’t change barring an unprecedented run. So teams like Detroit/Nj/Buffalo simply need to tie us in points and we’ll finish below them.

I know they won't, but that was one of the ones they were supposed to lose and should have.

Toronto was stupid, but even stupid Toronto should beat this team.

Wings are 3 points behind us. If they beat Sabres and Devils I can see them picking up another point against Pens who may not have much to play for.
 
Wow I give you guys lots of credit for being so optimistic. I just don’t see it I will be extremely happy gettting 5th and fending off Vancouver buffalo and Anaheim. That gives us a decent chance at winning top 3.
I don’t get it why are we rooting for Detroit to beat nj tomorrow???

Yeah, I hear you. Thing of it is......from what I have seen, Ottawa hasn't even been "that bad" lately. It's like.......they rid themselves of the STONE issue, and have been more than competitive lately. They KNOW they have NOTHING to gain by being LAST (Colorado has it) so......they do the best they can.

In all honesty, I want Colorado to make PO's, because it would kill me if they have like a 22% chamce of getting 1OA. or, something similar. Uggh.
